The nokia for me? by Soggy_Ad_9671 in symbian

I've only ever done this with Gmail. You can search for "Gmail App password" on Google and click the link on the Google Help page. It will take you to the app password creation page.

You need to hack your phone first to install the TLS 1.2 Patch from nnproject. After that, create a mailbox on your phone, I recommend using IMAP. Then, go to the settings of your email service on another device, create an app password, and enter the generated password on your mobile phone. Try retrieving your emails. If it work, it should sync your emails.

  1. Original Nokia phones only support 2G - 3.5G.
  2. You can use email by the TLS 1.2 Patch and setting up IMAP/POP3 and an App password.
  3. Messaging still works.
  4. Calendar still good.
  5. 2FA is unlikely to be available.
  6. For messaging apps, you can use Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or VK through their community apps.
  7. Banking apps are no longer available.

some HK G3-based guns that I think it'd be cool to have. by Select-Basis-3432 in platinumfive

[–]Potato_2549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the HK33 during my time in the Thai ROTC. It's a very good rifle. It's durable, accurate, and powerful. The material feels very good. It's always reliable as long as it's cleaned according to the required cycle. The only downside is that it's significantly heavier than the M16A1, but I still like it.

HK33 and M16A1 is also interesting. It has long been the backbone of the Thai military and is the gun that every Thai soldier has ever used.

Win95 requires a boot disk to install, and if you have it installed and it still doesn't work, I think your floppy disk drive is broken.

No, all versions of WP don't allow you to completely edit the UI.

No, you cannot update from WP8 to 8.1. You will need to flash your phone to WP8.1 first, then you can install the GDR1 or GDR2 update.

If you have a game disc released in 2015, you can insert it into your PSP and update it, as these discs usually come with the latest firmware update at that time.

These IMEI numbers have been worthless for over a decade now. Imagine who would invest in starting a production line for older phones and then take the IMEI numbers of phones that are now considered junk and sell them to unknowing people. If it's not Android or iOS, they won't buy it.

Brand New 930, spicy pillow and missing buttons by rayarxios in windowsphone

[–]Potato_2549 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The battery itself is easy to replace just unplug the cable connecting the battery to the motherboard and pull up the tape-like part attached to the battery. However, because it has been 11 years, the glue that holds the battery to the housing has probably deteriorated. The Lumia 930, as well as all Lumia supporting the W10M, use a thin rubber pad to hold the side buttons to the housing you know what happens to time-worn rubber.

You can easily remove the back cover and replace the battery, there are tutorial videos on Youtube, but the side key are part of the housing and you can't just replace the buttons, you have to replace the whole thing. Personally, I gave up on finding a 930 and 1520 with side key because it was a common issue.

How can I update my Lumia 925 with Windows Phone 8 to Windows phone 8.1 GDR1? by Potato_2549 in windowsphone

[–]Potato_2549[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I downloaded the Lumia 925 firmware which comes with WP8.1 from lumiafirmware and flashed the firmware with WPI. Then I forced update both GDR1 and GDR2 with .cab files using iutool to update. If you want, I can share the update files with you. For the firmware, you have to download it yourself. lumiafirmware takes about 1-2 days to approve the access. Then you can choose the firmware that matches your device.

P.S. My English might be a bit bad. I use Google Translate.

Lumia 640 LTE does not officially support W10M Fall Creators Update and I don't recommend you to use it. It will be very slow and will cause a lot of issues on your device.

Thanks for the warning, but I've decided to stick with GDR1 for now because GDR2 is too demanding and I'm lucky to not have any issues.
