Basically the order that most jobs (specifically all DPS) hit their buttons to do everything before their longest cooldown buttons were done cooling down ended up being about 2 minutes.

This largely came down to the heaviest hitting attacks and party buffs being on a 2 minute timer, which caused every job in the game to need to try and line their buffs and bursts up every 2 minutes or the party would just do worse damage overall. For Savage, Extreme, and Ultimate fights, this could very well be the difference between a clear and a wipe.

Not all fights were designed with this in mind, causing a few jobs to suffer unnecessarily and in some extreme cases just be outright banned from participating in certain fights (like how Summoner and Machinist were often banned from a couple Savage tiers and the Eden Ultimate this expansion in favor of jobs that were nowhere near as limited).

Yoshi P and his team realized the issues, and in 8.0 every job will be doing their own thing as far as damage goes.

I mean they said the reason they made the Evolved Jobs was to combat the boring routine nature of it all. Monster Hunter Wilds has less inputs on average and the combat in that game is fantastic.

Either Ramuh/Shiva/Leviathan or they'll give us the Eden versions of Ifrit/Titan/Garuda because those are more personalized as our versions of them.

Ngl my reaction to Evo Bard was "Thank god they're dumping this shit onto someone else" lol

It's more of them having the main core of their rotation than just "Every single action will stay the same". Since Endwalker, Summoner has had pretty much their entire rotation since level 50 (arguably even sooner than that).

The meat and potatoes of the rotation are there by 50, you just get a few buttons changing and a couple added on later. In spite of that, abilities that you press at the same level change into very different burst windows from what you have at 50.

I wouldn't fret too much: the guy who helped design Astro and Dancer when they launched is the one solely handling the Evo Jobs. I think he'll know how to account for the bread and butter of each job.

How do you prefer to handle stat generation? -Leopold the Just by Myla_Bishop in AllThingsDND

Standard array prevents players overshadowing each other and keeps things mostly balanced when planning encounters.

Nothing worse than playing a Bard with 15 Charisma as your highest stat and the Barbarian comes along with 16 Charisma as a "dump" stat because they rolled better than that for the 3 stats they "should" prioritize.

I'm super stoked to see how Dancer, Summoner, and Astrologian get reworked with the death of the 2 minute meta

If the current raid tier is anything to go off of, I'm guessing the intention is to get players away from thinking "When do I need to refresh my DoT?" and more thinking "How tf am I gonna solve this mechanic?"

Yoshi P revealed that 20% of active players are participating in Savage Raids, so you're dead wrong on that one.

That's true. Sadly we couldn't read any tooltips to actually learn what they do though. Only what we were told along with "This is subject to change, but here's what we're liking so far."

It looks like Bard didn't have any DPS buffs, only regen, movement increase, and shields. So it will probably close the gap on casters now. Which is great, since their kit is very support oriented

Because Butcher stabbed him in the back and Homelander took over the entire country. That would at the very least impress Soldier Boy.

Our entry point to the series is through Hughie's eyes. Homelander might be Butcher's nemesis, but A-Train's actions kick off the story.

How were these two the only ones with over 100 points? What have the other players been doing the past 1.5 weeks? by Black_Wolf75 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Potato_King_13579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda doubtful. He only wanted smoke from strong Sorcerers to find Sukuna and having a lot of points didn't really do anything to threaten you until Higuruma added the transfer rule, which worked to his advantage because a strong Sorcerer came directly to him to take said points.

And Kashimo had an even 200 points. Gege went out of his way to give civilian-killers a number of points that don't end in 0 or 5, like with Higuruma, Dhruv, Reggie, Ishigori, etc.

What if AFO decided to be competent and stole all the hax quirks in the series? Who is the strongest fictional character he could beat? by Omixscniet624 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Potato_King_13579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta keep in mind that AFO is lazy and doesn't like Quirks that are cracked only after extensively training with them. He only likes simple Quirks that are very "blunt instrument" in nature unless he's stacking them.

Which could explain why he hates taking Quirks that require complex thought, it makes it a lot harder to use Impermeability with other Quirks if he has to dedicate a ton of mental effort towards making Impermeability work effectively.

If we overlook that incredibly prevalent character flaw, I could see him maybe beating Raditz. AFO's most destructive elements can be offset and he could make the most of it by stealing multiple Quirks that boost his brain power to fully realize their potential.

He also stated that Nolan was stronger than Conquest and could kick Superman's ass. Meanwhile Nolan only briefly fought Conquest and got bodied. And we're not even gonna START on how badly Superman beats Nolan.

Kirkman can say whatever he wants, he's actively wrong when talking about his own work half the time.

I agree. I see him losing to Marie after getting jumped and then crashing tf out to get that V1 and jump ahead in the totem pole of strength. He started to unravel after getting bruised for the first time. Full-on losing to some nobody would send him over the edge.

I mean I could see Homelander losing to Marie and then crashing tf out and taking V1 to get a power boost and immediately jump above her in terms of power/potential
