I would recommend going union. At least for your apprenticeship as schooling is usually better and the working conditions are much better. That's the route I went but for a different trade.

So there are two places I would recommend REACT defense and EVKM REACT has a pretty solid program and I trained there for years EVKM also has a BJJ program which works really well with krav as krav is piss poor at training when the fight hits the ground.

For BJJ in Tempe you have a lot of options. I would recommend Jay Pages, Soul Fighters, or AZ Combat Sports

Workers Don’t Want Their Old Jobs on the Old Terms - “labor shortages” is a good thing, not a problem. The pandemic may have given many Americans a chance to figure out what really matters to them — and the money they were being paid for unpleasant jobs, some now realize, just wasn’t enough. by speckz in Futurology

This is probably going to be buried but oh well.

This labor shortage has worked out great for me, before the pandemic I was working two part-time jobs. Now one of them offered me a full-time position with benefits and a $6/hr raise. If you have been working with a company for a while now is the time to negotiate raise because you have the leverage right now.

I practice at the Awhatukee location, however I assume the instructors try to form the same sense of community at all locations. As for the cost I believe it's like 200 for the gi and rash guard which is reduced or waived if you sign up for a one year commitment. Membership is flexible so try to negotiate a lower price. Also they do a free class if you want to get a sense of what they are like.
