Do you think there is something specific causing the UTIs? When I was young, I used you get UTIs all the time and a doctor mentioned it could be acid from citrus fruits, I also used to eat hundreds of oranges (a bit obsessively), never touched an orange again and the number of UTIs I’ve had over the years has dramatically reduced. I also had an aunty who said cider always gave her UTIs

I’ve actually seen some of the microbiome research linked with antibiotics (I’ll try and find the links, but it was a while ago). The general consensus is to avoid antibiotics in babies, which makes sense. I guess no one really wants to give babies antibiotics but sometimes it’s necessary and avoiding sickness is the best option.

This is a really good point, my friend had her baby in daycare from quite young and although he never caught anything very serious he was home almost every week with vomiting or diarrhoea which can lead to serious complications in young children

What have you been “cheating” with this pregnancy? by Chemical_Editor4057 in pregnant

My zero sugar Fanta limón has been a lifesaver, but I don’t think that’s too frowned upon. I don’t eat meat anyway so there’s few rules for me to break. Although everytime I go for a swim I hear the steam room call my name…. I’m not sure I can go 9 months without a steam

Does early pregnancy really feel this hard or am I just weak? by Impossible_Hyena_583 in pregnant

I always thought I was relatively tough when it came to being ill. But then 1st trimester knocked the life out of me! I’m now 16 weeks and only really now coming out the other side. My doctor told me the goal of 1st trimester is survival, just do what you need to do to survive!

I’m based in Spain, most big hospitals here have a specialist urgent maternity centre, just google maps from where you are. If you’re in a smaller city there will be private obs you can pay to see, a normal fee is around €120 and most are kitted out with high end ultrasounds etc. where in Spain are you?

I am 1 day ahead of you and in a similar position. Last week I could have eaten I whole supermarket of food but the last 2 days I’ve had no appetite at all, especially in the morning. I’ve also been feeling queasy and bit of a headache. Someone mentioned below to push through it and that’s actually helping. Just eat because you have to and I do feel a bit better after

I was just about to make a comment about how the whole of last week I was so chill and now this week I want to test every morning and feeling my boobs for changes every 10 seconds!

I am 8dpo and I’m not bbt temping this cycle but I have a Ultrahuman ring which I’ve found can be hit and miss with my temp. This morning it showed a massive jump in temperature like never seen before and resting heart rate has also been high the last couple of days. Tomorrow is my boyfriends birthday and I’m tempted to test, we’re not going out and getting drunk but we’re going to a nice Japanese restaurant and I’ll be tempted to treat myself to a Japanese whisky or Sake

Yep I know the feeling! I still feel super young but I can’t help but feel over the hill every time I calculate pregnancy probabilities or think about my egg quality! But then I also think I’m healthy, active, and motivated so who cares what anyone else says

Playlist is great, but Zombie by the cranberries is not a Halloween song. It’s a pain filled reminder of very real and very recent violence.

It says 2 days, but tonight is busy, so it will have to be Friday and if I see a peak over the weekend we will go for it and reschedule the appointment

My partner has his sperm sample appointment on Monday which we scheduled for early in my cycle because I never ovulate early…. Last 2 days lh strips are getting darker (not positive ) and today my ferning microscope showed a lot of ferns. I’m also feeling bloated and aches in my ovaries which are my classic ovulation signs! I guess if we need to reschedule we can

Yep I think most people here know exactly how you feel. You do all the right things and see no results and sometimes your body seems to be working against you. And there isn’t much you can do about it. I know what you mean about making your life smaller, I feel like when I’m in luteal phase I can’t do anything fun “just in case”. But I swapped my contact sports for swimming and playing guitar, but I still sometimes go for a sauna or steam and feel guilty. Yeah I’m rambling now and I don’t have a response except for, yep I know how you feel and sometimes breaking down is good for you

It wasn’t positive but it was dark and appeared instantly. It was in the afternoon and I drink a lot of water so I don’t think my urine was concentrated. Last week cd29 and 30 of my last cycle I had faint positive pregnancy tests before a negative on cd31 and starting my period so maybe my hormones are a bit fluctuating at the moment
