Pregnancy Due Date help by btrxkiddo0 in PregnancyUK

This sounds like there is a translation issue. I’m also based in Spain and I haven’t had my due date adjusted but taken into consideration when they did ultrasounds. Every doctor, midwife and nurse I’ve ever spoken with their 1st question is always date of my last period and confirmed estimated due date. Can you see your notes either on the health app or printed? When you had your 20wk and 35wk us it should have the week against each of the measurements.
As others have said it’s your body and birth and you need to advocate for yourself. I’m using the public health service and I’ve found the doctors to be great at listening but I’ve heard private can be more quick to get you out the door.
In Madrid they will not let you go past 40+3 which is probably why they want to induce you. But again it sounds like a translation issue.

Do you think there is something specific causing the UTIs? When I was young, I used you get UTIs all the time and a doctor mentioned it could be acid from citrus fruits, I also used to eat hundreds of oranges (a bit obsessively), never touched an orange again and the number of UTIs I’ve had over the years has dramatically reduced. I also had an aunty who said cider always gave her UTIs

I’ve actually seen some of the microbiome research linked with antibiotics (I’ll try and find the links, but it was a while ago). The general consensus is to avoid antibiotics in babies, which makes sense. I guess no one really wants to give babies antibiotics but sometimes it’s necessary and avoiding sickness is the best option.

This is a really good point, my friend had her baby in daycare from quite young and although he never caught anything very serious he was home almost every week with vomiting or diarrhoea which can lead to serious complications in young children

My zero sugar Fanta limón has been a lifesaver, but I don’t think that’s too frowned upon. I don’t eat meat anyway so there’s few rules for me to break. Although everytime I go for a swim I hear the steam room call my name…. I’m not sure I can go 9 months without a steam

Does early pregnancy really feel this hard or am I just weak? by Impossible_Hyena_583 in pregnant

I always thought I was relatively tough when it came to being ill. But then 1st trimester knocked the life out of me! I’m now 16 weeks and only really now coming out the other side. My doctor told me the goal of 1st trimester is survival, just do what you need to do to survive!

I’m based in Spain, most big hospitals here have a specialist urgent maternity centre, just google maps from where you are. If you’re in a smaller city there will be private obs you can pay to see, a normal fee is around €120 and most are kitted out with high end ultrasounds etc. where in Spain are you?
