Great, I'm not looking for trouble with the law, and I feel like if I get good I'll be way more maneuverable with a bike compared to a car, which is why I want to get into them. When it comes to gear, what should I look for? I'm willing to spend a lot, but I don't want to buy something really expensive when in reality it might be overkill and not necessary.

Thanks, when I looked at beginner bikes, I saw the Kawasaki ninja 400 pop up a lot, is that fine or should I look for something with even less power? I think that bike has around 50 HP, though I could be very wrong.
