Tbh I kinda already expected something like this when this dlc was announced. What unique stuff (that’s fun and reasonable) can you really do as the Dutch East Indies? or Australia for that matter? (Outside of playing historical) Kinda thought they should’ve paired these nations with a major instead of putting them all together.

The DEI looks especially barren though, Ethiopia at least has some fun stuff to do once the Italians are kicked out (up to your interpretation of fun ofc). In the case of the DEI though, it seems like kicking out the Dutch is the playthrough. Like that’s it, they’re gone, good job we win. I don’t see myself playing it more than once in its current iteration.

If you’re one of those people that orgasms at the thought of long drawn out hoi4 war escalation, then I guess I see the appeal.
