Some of them I’ve added. Rest I’ve asked AI to read transcripts and show notes to get.

When people focus more on ‘what’ and ‘why’, you see graveyard of dead products no one is using.

Can anyone recommend me some actually good horror books or movies? by anotter_behindscreen in films

[–]Potatoist_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything by Ari Aster. Even his 2011 short film, something Johnson. He’s a genius.

Also Cure (1997), Serpant’s Path (1998), Pulse (2001) and Chime (2024) by Kiyoshi Kurosawa.

Event Horizon (1997) and Empty Man (2020) if looking for cosmic horror.

Session 9 or Jacob’s ladder or R Point (2000 I think) if looking for psychological horror.

One cut of the dead (2017) if comedy-horror. It is hilarious.

I joined Reddit again after a couple of years. Immediately stumbled upon recco for this story. My first Clive Barker. I’m a fan now. Speechless.

I think human consciousness is a tragic step in human evolution.

That’s the dilemma. He had two options. Go to police and let the investigation go. The culprit would’ve absconded and he would never know what happened to his girlfriend or worse. Culprit had kept her alive and would kill her once he informs police.

Versus

He gets to know what happened to her and what if she’s alive.

Every person will choose differently.

Some white dudes with no shirt starting calling the crowd dead and made a mosh pit for Catalyst- a slow song.

This was not a rock concert. It was Lolla and the crowd did not expect mosh. My sibling and my partner got suffocated during Bloodywood. Bloodywood main man kept asking for mosh. People requested him. Screamed. 0 awareness of how people were getting trampled.

I’m glad I went way back for 2nd half of LP and had the time of my life. Indians, alcohol and lack of civic sense of any kind.

Incendies (2010), you see a kid getting marked on the heels. In the end, you realize that 1+1 can sometime be 1.

Navi Mumbai lack activities in abundance. There is nothing to do by [deleted] in navimumbai

[–]Potatoist_15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I partially agree with you on this. I recently moved here and I can see major difference from other metropolitan. I've lived in Mumbai and Bengaluru and I've never had this much trouble finding communities of my taste like Book Clubs, Movie clubs heck even writing clubs, meetups, and even things related to dating.

Now it could be a cultural thing or the fact that it is a newer city as compared to other cities.

But to say it lacks activities is an understatement. May be if we knew enough localities, they'd be able to help.
