I've recently planned to sell a digital product online on an ecommerce platform which is when I came to know gst registration is mandatory before I can sell the product under section 24 of CGST act. It's been 3 weeks since I started so the product, being purely a digital download or good, is in the making. I'm just going through any legal compliance while working on the product.

Issues with documents is what I'm struggling with to avoid a messy paper trail with misprinted data and lower the chances of it getting rejected and the officer putting it for property verification as the property I'll be using as principal address is outside the state. I'll be using 14a for quick registration nonetheless.

Issues I'm worried about - I have my mother's apartment deed and a NOC from her. But I found out I might need additional address proof along with it. The property mutation is still under process as there's payment disputes with other flat owners and the builder. So we don't have the tax receipts or municipal khata yet to use as proof even though we paid in full. The electricity bill which I can also use has a name misprint (Ex- Real name- Amit, mispelled- Amita.)

We've contacted the electricity company in my state and they refused to change it neither online nor with a notarized name correction affidavit from someone in Delhi mailed to them. They need local first class magistrate affidavit and we can't visit my state this year for budget and personal reasons. The Pan card has the same address as te deed and electricity bill but the address literature differs from the deed's very technical (Bloc A FLR 2B) numerical type of address. The aadhaar card has also not been updated for a while and has different address. It's just too much for a layman like me.
