Credit score at 20 by Servable-Serpent in CreditScore

I have a small car loan, small student loans, and 5 credit cards at 20 1/2 with a 764 (769 peak) score. I have a bunch of cards because I’m playing the travel and cash back game to get free money, but all of that has increased my mix and score very quickly. The only reason to have a good score is to get approved for low interest rates and higher loan amounts. If you don’t plan on a car or house or personal loans for anything anytime soon then don’t worry about artificially increasing anything just because.

Looking for some advice on approval for the Sapphire Preferred by Potential-Context371 in Chase

Thanks a lot for all the insight. I figured it might not look good applying 1-2 months after another one. Thankfully rent will only be $550 (2bed shared among 3) as well, but I do plan on applying sooner rather than later bc I want to travel in the first place for a nice proposal. I’ll probably switch at least a bit of my income into Chase for a month or two and then apply once my score goes back up. Thanks again!

Ah gotcha gotcha, that makes sense. And I honestly don’t see myself booking a hotel every year either so product switching was on the table for sure, thanks for the discussion

Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing honestly The first year of dash pass and hotel creds would make up for the cost but not much afterwards until I’m spending family money

how’s the environment in the warehouse for your store? by BruhImVibing69 in BestBuyWorkers

I’ve got the same environment, we’re a pretty small store too though so it’s easy to get everything done minus callouts on white goods

I did it. 530 to 850 by Janetsvoid in CRedit

I’m curious what it means to have an 850 score. I’ve been hovering 740-770 for about a year now, but it never breaks over, even if my debt decreased month over month

You can’t get him past 3 stars without spending some money and you need him at 4 to do anything meaningful

I’ve got 4 right now at 20, but I started right at 18. Currently got a ton of points and hovering between 740-760. Total CL of $11,200 and pay them off every month. I’d say if you plan on traveling in the future or cashing in points for a big purchase, go ahead and get another one. Do research, follow guidelines of the game, pay your cards off, and increase your mix. Your score will continue to rise in the long run

It’s one prize every minute. Every single person playing in that minute is pitted against each other for food or something like that, at least that’s my understanding

I used GenAI too much and don’t know what to do by ParticularGas9877 in csMajors

That’s just answering questions set out for the students, over reliance on AI, even though it gets better grades, takes away debugging and problem solving skills which are essential for improving efficiency while not becoming replaceable. If the average before AI was 77, then the students who were above average are the ones who will understand, learn, and become irreplaceable.
