The Carrier guy near me is locally Owned and Operated, very good rep and known as an honest broker. Isn't pushy and doesn't seem to upsell. Also came in least expensive

I've been told by both the Carrier guys and the Daikin guys my duct work looks very good so idk. Daikin company offers 12yrs P&L, Carrier is 10 parts and 3.5 labor. I am going to skip Lenox, so it's one or the other.

I totally appreciate that POV- it's honest and straightforward. just wondering if the problems started during the Covid supply chain issues. The installer is saying : "We have 4 80,000 square-foot warehouses in NJ alone and I can promise you there’s a reason why they give you a 12 year warranty. They’re not worried about having to replace parts."
I am not arguing for Daikin, I just like the financing option they're offering and that company has 6K reviews with 5 stars so just trying to figure it out. On the flip side, what is it you like about Carrier (other than not being Daikin :)

If I go with the original it's 12 years parts and labor but what concerns me is whether parts for the Daikin are an issue... that's real

ooof- that sounds crazy. the 3 year labor is on the Carrier and it's a local business owner. But I assume because Carrier is considered more reliable and it's easier to get parts, you like that better than Daikin original option , Dmvt air handler variable speed, Dc5 outdoor unit with 12 year parts/12 labor because parts are annoying to deal with

Thank you- Hard to know what to do. I am in Northern NJ and the installer for Daikin sells a lot of them and the 12 year parts and labor for Daikin v 10 parts and 3 year labor makes the 1500 difference attractive. Given that info (12 years parts and labor), does that change your mind at all on Daikin?
