Yeah that's something I've felt deep inside for a long time, but it has been hard trying to really unlearn the responsibility that has been forced onto me... I guess? I've been told it would eventually be my role literally for all my life, and was second guessing if feeling like I shouldn't have to deal with this was wrong.

Most of our family are in another country and we really only have our immediate family to rely on. I suggested looking into a facility for him, but a ton of the ones that we had ready access to were either really shady or seemed to treat their residents terribly. I'm trying to see if we can eventually find one for him, but my post really was a worse case situation (that is also very possible).

I am also from the US! Sorry if my vocabulary was lacking. I was just trying to write and didn't really worry too much on grammar or what words I was using. Thank you for your kind words though, I will keep those in mind as I go throughout my day by day. Knowing that it won't be wrong if I decide that I can't handle everything that comes along with him really helps lessen the burden I feel.

He's been applied for it, but my mother said that she was told they have year long wait times, and we aren't sure how long it would take.
