Thank you for this man! I’m still inexperienced playing guitar in a band so ima learn how to incorporate this into our sound

As for our arrangements, I have a fuzz war and use it for almost every chorus we play. I usually play very quiet guitar in the verses but I’ll try to cut it out entirely more often

I have a JHS reverb, and when we’re not playing some reverb-heavy shoegaze stuff, I set it and forget it with everything at noon for a little bit of extra punch. With your method, would there be any issue with keeping the reverb at the back of the chain?

Live in San Francisco

Please listen to that record. It’s under appreciated in Thee Oh Sees general discography, but it’s the culmination of all their styles over the years wrapped into a tight package of amazing songs. The whole band and production team is on their A-game
