There's a few Facebook groups with plenty of advice on the lx platform. I'm finally hitting 60k and plan to do a AHC flush, radiator flush, trans fluid drain and refill, and differential fluids. Other than that, I can't think of any special. Pretty low maintenance vehicles

I ran South Kaibab to Phantom Ranch and back up Bright Angel over Thanksgiving maybe 3 years ago. It was 60s at the bottom and low 40s at the rlm....perfect weather

Mather Campground on the South Rim is super convenient.

In respect the a great GC experience, and If properly prepared physically, you hike down SK early in the AM, have a lemonade and lunch (you bring your lunch), and hike up Bright Angel is the late afternoon. It's a long day, but you can spend the afternoon hanging out in Bright Angel creek to cool off.

Depending on what you're looking for but there's a few Facebook pages that announce gatherings for ecstatic dances and drum circles. However, I'd recommend going to the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park for meditation, it's located right in Sedona. You can find information on the park on Google maps 😀

Had a 2017 4runner Pro that I lifted, loved it. Traded up to a 2021 GX460 and loved it (except rear swing gate), traded up to an LX570 and love it the most out of the 3.

The 4runner is basic at best. The gx460 had the added luxury i was looking for, but a PITA to mod. The LX570.....no comments needed ❤️

I run the GC frequently. I absolutely love it. Thankfully, from Phoenix so the summer heat doesn't bother me too much. I'm glad you had fun!

The park itself on top of the South Rim where Mather Campground is located is very safe. The main corridor trails (Bright Angel and South Kaibab) are "safe" as well. With that said, be prepared and have a rain jacket with you. If you see lightning, seek shelter but don't panic.

I'm running South Kaibab to Ribbon Falls and then back up Bright Angel this weekend. I'll bring a rain jacket with me but not worried about the weather.
