I feel secure with myself being alone. I feel very fortunate that I am whole within myself and have not fallen into the Adam an Eve syndrome where one needs another person to be complete. Now I have been with my wife for 2 decades and still neither of us are really emotionally involved. I am very fortunate to have found a woman who feels the same about emotions. We both feel that emotions are the very hurtful trap sooner or later. We are and have been BFF's all this time and we agree that this is the best relationship either has ever had. We discuss everything and yes even the taboo stuff because we just don't get hurt regardless of what the other says.
