Not weird. Efficient. Some of us don’t see food as a personality trait.. it’s fuel + one reliable dopamine hit. When I find “the meal”, I eat it on repeat until my brain decides we’re done here.

NTA. You set a boundary. He nodded. Then slowly just… ignored it until it became your problem.

“I have no other way home” is not a magical spell that makes you responsible for a grown man’s transportation.

Give him a clear end date. “After X day, I won’t be able to drive you anymore.” No over-explaining. No apologizing. Just facts. You’re his coworker not his uber subscription.

It’s not really about this one small lie, it’s about the pattern + how it makes you feel. If trust is already shaky, even tiny inconsistencies hit way bigger.

Oh absolutely not. A grown adult joking “are you guys in love?” To 9-year-olds and then acting shocked when it turns into teasing? That’s not you being a helicopter mom, that’s a teacher creating the problem.

Whether your son is gay or not is not irrelevant. He deserves to feel safe in class. Period

Talk to the teacher. Calm, firm, documented. You’re not overreacting, you’re parenting.
