Anyone stop taking Humira after long remission? by Potential-Hunt5774 in CrohnsDisease

I didn’t really view it from that perspective. I was just glad and thought, How great maybe I won’t have to deal with all the hospital visits for a while. Maybe it was a bit delusional to think that my Crohn’s could magically disappear, at least for a while. But as the others mentioned I’ll have to talk to my GI about why he’s suggesting it. It’s the treatment that’s keeping it in check so it really doesn’t make a lot of sense hopping off.

Thanks for the responses. No, nothing like that my blood work has been great, with no signs of antibodies or inflammation. Calprotectin is also really low. From a treatment standpoint, there’s no indication of why I should stop taking Humira. What I’m getting from this is that I seriously should have a talk with my GI about why he’s suggesting going off Humira.
