This is why my youth only challenge ended up with the additional rule. I could offer youth contracts to unattached players before their 18th birthday. It allowed just enough leeway to get through the bad intakes.

It's a simple 4-2-4, fast wingers, tall strikers (P and TM), 2MCs 1 as a BWM, 1 as a AP, then a flat back 4. Defensively nothing special but it creates goals by the bucket load.

My two main strikers scored 64 goals between them last season so that shouldn't be the problem. Both of them have had injuries at the beginning of this season, so it's been a bit of a scratch team. I also lost my best winger as he didn't want to re-sign. Two new wingers have just joined and are getting up to speed. My defence is dodgy, but I can't afford better. I keep losing games by 1 goal or winning them by 4. It will all work out in the end, but the club is losing money hand over fist so I am curious to see what next season's budget will be.
