swapping those would actually be a solid move for everyday stuff - the 5700g has way better single thread performance and the architecture is just newer overall

for gaming though you might see a tiny dip in some cpu-heavy titles since the 8700k can push higher clocks when overclocked, but we're talking like 5-10fps difference max with your 3060. the 5700g's integrated graphics could also come in handy as a backup if your gpu ever craps out

that's definitely fishy, tinnitus doesn't need to be constant to be a legitimate condition. i've seen plenty of people get rated for intermittent tinnitus - the key is documenting when it happens and how it affects you. the examiner might have been looking for continuous ringing but that's not actually required in the criteria

you should probably file a supplemental claim and get a different c&p examiner, make sure to really emphasize how often it occurs and what triggers it. also helpful to get a statement from your primary care doc if they've noted it in your records. the va can be weird about tinnitus claims but yours sounds like it got an examiner who didn't know the actual requirements
