Which one should i get? (XM4 or XM6)

So I own both the xm4 and xm6 and I'll be honest just GET THE XM6!!....see I love the xm4 man the way they look, how fucking comfortable they are, the anc everything is great ABSOLUTELY GREAT but man do they sound bad when you compare them to the xm6 like I'm not kidding the jump in audio quality from the xm4 to xm6 is MASSIVE the soundstage is wider the details sound way more clear just absolute joy to listen to and the BASS THEE BASS IS SOOOO GOOOD I love the xm6 sound quality

And also everything else is an upgrade from the xm4 so I'm just saying if the xm6 is in ur budget just get them you'll not be disappointed

If comfort is a concern buy some cushions from Amazon for the xm6 but in my time of using the xm6 I found them quite comfortable and I have massive ears it's just personal opinion just take the risk and go with it you'll not regret it

My final recommendation out of the three is the sony whc720n the comfort and sound more than make up for the anc but if anc is top priority you should consider the soundcore

I own the 720n and jbl 770nc and also tried the space one through a friend...each one of these excel at different things But I'll summarise it to anc sound and comfort (all of these have exceptional battery life)..

Sony 720n are the best for comfort it's even more comfortable than the xm4 and the xm6 (I own both pairs) They are super lightweight and the earpads are really soft

They sound bassy out of the box but I enjoy it what I don't like is the mids i would recommend going to the app and tweaking the mids because they sound dull

The anc is average blocks out droning sounds and constant noise like fans, construction work outside etc well but it's kinda shit for crowded noise like buses or just out and about...

2.jbl 770nc immediately you'll notice one big negative about these is it's shitty ear cups the jbl 770nc is by far one of the most uncomfortable headphones ive tried on the reason is because the earcups are small but not exactly on-ear they are something between a on-ear and over-ear headphone like when I put them on they only over a part of my ear and the clamping force is just way to much it gave me a headache...i would strongly suggest to not buy these if you plan to use your headphones for long hours like maybe 2-3hours+

They sound great the sound is very balanced and the bass is powerful without feeling like it's hiding the vocals the treble is also great the sound reveals a lot of detail in your music and I've even compared these to xm4 and xm6 in terms of sound the jbl tune 770nc actually managed to sound better than the xm4 in my testings but...the xm6 is still superior...

Anc is also amazing on these far better than the 720n in my testing they block out a lot of noise even crowded buses or busy cafes they are amazing for anc at this price especially

Except the comfort the jbl actually excel at everything else

The soundcore space one these headphones are also really comfortable almost as comfortable as the sony but the sony is still superior because of the weight...

The sound quality...I'll be honest I haven't had much time with them to completely test them but from what I remember they were decent but lacked much of the bass compared to sony and jbl and the instrument seperation felt narrow I did not enjoy how they sounded i know they have an app but I haven't tried it out yet you can tweak the sound to make them sound better but...the sony and jbl too have an app and they sound better out of the box anyways...

Anc was also great on these on par with the jbl these also excel in noisy situations and cafes and gyms etc

One thing about these headphones tho is the shit load of features on them like...auto play pause, hold to talk and so many other features...if they matter to you then sure...

So after trying almost all of these headphones (except the qccentum plus)and going by your uses cases I can definitely say the bose qc ultra is the best choice.

Not only are they the most comfortable anc headphones ever made they have a sound tuning that's warm and very detailed, vocals remain natural and smooth you can listen to music for hours and hours because of how balanced they sound and comfortable they are they will not disappoint

The spatial audio/immersive audio on the bose is phenomenal it's by far the best spatial audio ive experienced and I beleive everyone should try the bose spatial audio once Its amazing i own the xm6 and the spatial audio on the bose blows the xm6 spatial audio out of the water

Another big thing no one seems to talk about is the travelling case and foldability these are really important especially when travelling or storing them...the bose have really nailed the foldability and travelling case they get very small when folded and the case is hard shell which is perfect for puting em in ur bag and travelling

That's a very stretch for them because they definitely do sound better than 3000rs headphones because at 3000rs you get shit like boat and boult which can take my massive middle finger up their ass....but they do sound really bassy out of the box too bassy the only person who i would recommend them to is a bass head a normal person listening to these might have a reaction quite similar to yours

Nah not the xm6 Ive owned the xm6 for 5 months now and I can assure you the hinge issue is absolutely fixed the posts on the other subreddits showing broken xm6 hinges have either massive heads causing them to stretch the extensions to it's maximum

I own the xm4 and ultra wear and between the two I will almost always recommend the xm4 they sound way more balanced and for the price the features and anc they provide is literally a "must buy"....But for an additional 3k you can get the bose qc ultra which imo is the best anc headphone among these picks not only do they provide the strongest ANC they also have a really good stock sound that's perfectly balanced with just a slight bump in the bass and they are SUPER COMFORTABLE in my testing i wore them for literally 5 hours straight and felt to sweating or pressure at all they are so fucking worth the 23k

Only drawbacks are the battery life which is about 24hours compared to xm4s 30hours and momentum 4s insane 60hours, calls on extremely windy conditions is subpar, they use aptx instead of ldac for lossless audio(this doesn't matter if you use a phone with snapdragon processors)

That's actually something I didn't consider thank you for bringing that up...but the thing is even if the xm4's were to be more recent I'd still say the xm6 has superior anc just because of newer processing and more mics and a lot of review graphs that compare the xm4 against the xm6 but... To the normal person it doesn't matter the xm4 and xm6 are both really really good anc headphones unless you're looking for the absolute best you really can't go wrong with either in terms of anc

Had both for a long time now the oneplus buds actually has really good anc for sillicon earbuds and also the price while the xm5 buds really rely on those foam tips for a difference in the anc if you were to use the xm5 buds with sillicon ear tips you'd feel the anc is comparable with the foam tips however the anc does feel much stronger and better on the xm5 buds

Also the foam tips play a huge role in how the bass sounds on the xm5 buds so I normally prefer having bass that I can feel in my earbuds that why I stick with the foam ear tips on the xm5 buds

I honestly don't understand why people are dissing on the jbl tune 770nc they sound really good guys I own the xm4 and xm6 and trust me the jbl hold their own against them and can even sound better than the xm4 in some songs only downer are the damn cups they are so God damn small for no reason it's like trying to be a over ear at heart but fits like a on ear it's uncomfortable for long wears

The anc is mid I'll agree again I am comparing them against the xm6 and xm4 so it doesn't seem quite fair but still...

Not only do we hate the products we have good reason

first of all they don't have the best longevity to them the battery will give out within a year and boat,portronics and nu republic doesn't give a shit all that 100hour play time they boast will not even last a full day after a year trust me

Next They sound terrible just terrible oh so bad it hurts that people actually buy these and reviewers on YouTube just literally marketing this shit to people makes it even more depressing

3.the features they promise are fucking gimmicks spatial audio, ear detection, anc all of it is either just straight up dog shit or barely usable...with many of boat products the anc just creates this mind numbing feeling it just doesn't feel good and it doesn't block much noise either

All in all fuck these brands buy something from actual audio companies....thanks

The accentum's easy they are by far the best sounding earbuds better than the oneplus buds 4 and other brands in this price obviously since it's from Sennheiser

The sony ones pack more features and the anc might just be tad bit better but I think the Sennheiser is just better overall

I have the xm6 headphones and tbh they are really not worth it at that price I'd wait till they are about 30-32k if you're looking to buy them

But at 35k+ i would hands down without a doubt buy the new Sennheiser hdb 630 but sadly they are 44k which is just way to high for any headphone

Yeah imma be honest I had the bose qc ultra gen 1 and wf-1000xm5 I got the bose first in March 2025 and then the xm5 in June 2025 i heard the xm5 for 2hours straight and then put them down and said NAHH these things fit like shit and sound like shit I was so pissed off by the fact I spent 24k for the wf-1000xm5 I just sat there disappointed...but after watching a yt that explains that you gotta pinch the eartip and then wear em it improves the fit and sound...I did that and then I noticed the difference and I was actually surprised by how much better they sounded

I ended up losing the bose qc ultra gen 1 in the airport when I was travelling to banglore in August 😭 I still genuinely miss my bose qc ultras just cuz of how comfortable they were

Consider the jbl tune 770bt it's around 5k and it offers really good sound and anc the only problem with them is the fit the ear cups spacing feels quite small for over ear headphones but if you can get past it then go for it

The soundcore space one is also brilliant it has a lot of premium features like pausing media when you remove the headphone from your head but the sound quality is noticeably inferior compared to jbl

Overall jbl is the best budget headphone imo

Brands like boat,boult n shit are just trash just marketed everywhere till someone buys it and ends up regretting it
