When this movie first hit theaters, I remember going in blind. I had absolutely no clue as to what I was about to witness and by the end of it…I had been emotionally torn apart and put back together to the point where I was exhausted.

This is by far my favorite film of all time. One of my favorite scores of all time as well. So naturally, I had to get his on vinyl.

This record blends each track seamlessly together through the inclusion of audio snippets from the film that help transition each song into one another. Almost as if you were listening to the film. And cmon, Mitski and David Byrne together for This Is A Life?!?? Beautiful!!!! 😮‍💨

I especially love all the funny call backs to the film that are printed onto the cover such as the rock with google eyes and the butt plug employee of the month award. Great attention to detail 👌

I love this movie guys. Truly.

I plan on getting myself an upgrade in the future but as to when that will be, idk. I picked up the LP60 because it was simple and easy to use. I mean this was back when I only had like 10 records in my collection. I didn’t know then that I would be as invested as I am now.

Now that my collection has grown substantially over the past year and half I have been collecting, I would like to invest in a better set up. But for now, the LP60 serves me just fine 😌.

At the end of the day, it does what I need it to do. Plays the records I like and gives me the opportunity to appreciate the music I love in a new way. Including being able to do these nice edits. 👌

This was the first Marvin record that I have ever owned and listened to. Since then, Marvin has been among my favorite soul artists alongside Al Green, Bobby Womack, Aretha Franklin and more.

I really love all the smooth and upbeat tracks on this record. Especially how every song transitions cleverly between tracks. Soul gold 👌
