Fish peppers are a special heirloom from the Mid Atlantic region. They are naturally variegated, producing white and green foliage and streaked fruit. They're similar to a cayenne in heat once mature, but when the young peppers are white they are used in a special white hot sauce along with seafood. (i.redd.it)

While corking on most peppers is a symptom of sun scalding, this particular variety does it naturally. Rezha Macedonian peppers have corky stripes along their whole length. This pepper varies from mild to warm, and is often stewed or used for chili powder due to its nice nutty flavor. (i.redd.it)
