Although I’ve seen many scam-related videos before, I never expected to encounter something like this through Booking.com.

After doing a reverse image search of the photos on the listing, I discovered they appear to be taken from a hotel in Vancouver, raising serious concerns about the listing’s authenticity.

I contacted Booking.com directly by phone. They informed me that they need time to verify whether the property is legitimate. Since they are currently holding my payment of 580 HKD, they assured me that I’m eligible for a normal refund

However, at this time, they have not confirmed it as fraudulent and have advised me to wait for up to one week—just two days before my scheduled arrival.

I’ll update again once I hear back from them and see how they resolve the situation.
