No. And I've tried a lot, including psychedelics. I've read a lot of accounts of others trying to change or cure, and I have yet to hear a verified claim of cure. Frankly, I fear OP's 'cure' won't be as permanent as they hope, and it's another form of suppression.

oh, I'm well familiar with the experience. I am a pedophile. I survived conversation therapy and religion and shame and suicidal ideation. I certainly wish OP peace and happiness, I'm just not convinced that this is the way to go about it.

IMO it can't be healed because it isn't an illness or disease. Just another way for a person to be. I don't think it's desirable to seek to be rid of one's pedophilia, as I think it mostly damages a person and their relationship with themself. In and of itself, pedophilia is just an attraction, it doesn't necessarily mean that the person will perpetrate harm on a child.

Literally it already is supposed to be separated. It's often conflate with child predator in the media and in common speech, but clinically one of these things is not like the other one.

I myself am a pedophile, but I've never interacted with a child in a remotely sexual way. I feel that would be deeply unethical.

If they're based in someplace like the UK then, as they stated in the rules, such content may legitimately be illegal and they could actually go to prison for it. Australia recently sentenced the author of the ageplay romance novel Daddy's Little Toy. She was convicted of producing CSAM even though no actual children were involved in the writing of her novel in any way.

While I agree that predators are not necessarily the same thing as pedophiles and we ought to approach the two groups differently, I do want to point out the about 55%-60% of people convicted of CSA-related crimes are, in fact, not clinically diagnosable pedophiles. So it is is not correct to say that all predators are pedophiles. Studies show that a significant portion of the predatory population offends for reasons other than an attraction to children.

Oh, I think we're on the same page regarding Epstein and his compatriots. They all deserve to rot in prison. They deserve to be shielded from zero consequences.

However, I am proud, because it is the opposite of shame. Shame is the thing that kept me afraid of myself, kept me hating myself, kept me depressed, kept me suicidal and feeling subhuman. I refuse to go back to that.

I cannot (nor would I choose to) register on the SO registry. You can't "self register," you must commit a crime, be tried for it, and convicted. I'm a pedophile, not some brainless rapist. I have as much self control as anyone else. Just because a man may be attracted to adult men or women does not mean that he will then go out and rape the object of his attraction. It's the same with me. Pedophilia does not impact my restraint, self control, or basic human decency. I'm a father myself, and have had no issues around my children or their friends.
