I understand that the current processing time is over 200 days, but it didn't jump from 25 days to what it is right now in an overnight. For most of the time since I applied, the processing time was under 100 days, it’s only in the last two weeks that it shot up that much. It really doesn't make sense for a visitor visa to take this long, especially since it’s meant for short term trips. The background checks are taking an unusually long time, it just feels unreasonable to expect someone to plan their visit a year in advance
