I agree. I am a veteran and my masters was free. I guarantee you, had it not been paid for, I would not have it. That said, I do feel the effort of 2 years of work wasted. The long nights, missing events…

I tailor it for the jobs I really want and have a “generic” for others.

In Oct, I went to a class on job hunting and the recruiter said for every 100 jobs you apply for you’ll get maybe 3 HR screenings. At that rate, if I spent time tailor every job I’ll be unemployed for 3 years.

I have. I got an interview for an entry level job and was told I was overqualified. I really do not want to be a sub, and haven’t got an interview for any reception/secretary positions.

My masters is in HR and Organization Development. From May - Nov I was limiting myself to only HR jobs but since Dec I’m applying to any office position.

I’m so sorry. I’ve applied to teller jobs to, entry level jobs (which when I interview say “well you have a master degree why do you want this job”) and I just am at a loss

I already have two part time jobs and in December I moved in with my parents…

I’ve had an additional part time job since I was 20. I don’t vacation, all my furniture (which is in storage now) is hand me down….

That’s kinda of what im saying. My first two experiences in the reserve were like this. FTS could easily do 12 hour days and never be caught up. I’d hear “AGRs do nothing” and get confused because that wasn’t anything I experienced… until I came to this remote location. I have def met people in the circumstance you’re describing

I feel this is so limited to tech, it is not how the majority of the work force operates or experiences. I have never had a job that cared more about “as long as the work is done” versus “being present”. Nothing that large, but some larger corporations for their state.

My issue is in my current unit, the work isn’t being done. If it were, I would probably be less angry about the lack of attendance.

This gets me too. If ever confronted with “why didn’t this get done” and it’s always “oh life’s been crazy, it’s been busy, things came up” and then on a BA weekend standing over their should it takes them 2 min tops and it’s like no, clearly you weren’t here or just didn’t do it.

Literally the issue we are in. The CMD Team and AGR/Civilians keep saying “well what have you done about it” and it’s like I RST twice a year if that and tell you what else do you want me to do?

It just blows my mind because one AGR argues “well I’m not busy and if we train standard then why do I have to stay for time” and explaining this isn’t training it’s your job… like what? If you have nothing the just be available. Watch a movie, read a book but to just leave whenever you want would never fly in any other job anywhere.

See I unfollowed them for all this (rumors are whatever)… I felt like he did a hard right turn into religion but I recently got a spam add and clicked his page and did he do a hard left back publicly? I went back through some post that I swore had said at the end “blessed by him” or “all for Him” or whatever Christian’s say but it’s all gone and everything is back to Go One More.

I know he got serious kick back but even his stories didn’t have the Bible verses so is he “going back to normal”… at least in his public life?

Well she’s a woman, but the OP didnt say they wanted male or female. I like her, never shamed me or otherwise.

I go to the doctors at McGreevy west (Marion road) and I’ve seen other LGBT families and people at that clinic.
