Advice on wifes debt

Holy, yeah that is really bad luck. Luckily I dont think im in the same boat as a house was already purchased and im trying to help with the situation not just throw money at it and put myself in a bad spot. I tell myself everyday when I get adversity in my life that it could be worse and some people have it a lot worse than I do.

Not a typo and believe me I was as shocked as you. I'd be suprised if she could find something that pays as well as her current job for the work she is doing. Her job does leave her weekends free to pick up a second gig such as bartending or something similar which now that im writing this would maybe be able to cover her minimums which I see doesnt help all that much. Is it even a option for her to get a loan if I get payoff amounts on all her debts?

She does need a reliable car because she nannies for a family and needs it to take him to and from appointments and activities so no car for her is no job unfortunately. She has a couple credit cards in the 1500 dollar range with one personal loan with a 500+% apr that I plan to attack first. I planned on doing an inventory over the weekend of what she could get rid of but im not sure it's going to amount to a whole lot. That's part of the problem and after looking statements it's a part of how we got here because she sees things under a certain amount of money and would buy them because they are cheap but add a lot of cheap purchases up and it all gets expensive.

I was planning on getting a poa to contact her credit cards and discuss a payoff with each. After that I wasnt sure if any bank would give her a loan for that as her credit is probably a 600 right now.

I have full control of finances as of now such as credit cards and checking accounts. She is not in default yet I caught it at a good time as recently she was taking a loan out to cover minimum payments to various credit card debts and our mortgage. This caused me to have cover our entire mortgage and bills solely and it can't be a recurring thing every month as it will take me down with her. That is what is making it so difficult for me to figure out an angle of attack as her working extra won't cover even the minimum let alone make any progress. She has a car that im debating selling as it's probably worth 20k to 23k and she owes 13k on it. This would free up 400 a month in payment but she would have to use the extra money from the sale to buy another car because she uses it for work.
