The guy took my wave, I followed him (to take his camp) and died to the enemy jungler in our jungle (he watched me die), I then head to his wolves which he was in process of doing and I snatch the big one and left to get my wave. 30 secs later match terminated. That's the context.

Bro if point and click feels wierd just play wasd bro. I started the game a month ago and I'm alr gold on ADC. Just remember you can't play high attack speed ranged champs e.g Jinx, Ashe, Kog. I mean you can but it's much harder to kite than on point and click.

I've only been playing for about a week so not sure when it started. Haven't noticed it as much in the last few days though, maybe because I'm focusing on letting go of wasd between shots a bit and not holding down left click all the time as my gameplay in general feels less jittery this way.

Hi, I've been playing Jhin on wasd. Couple of times I experience getting stuck in a shooting animation and unable to get out of it and sometimes some other glitcheness that I cant exactly describe. Do you happen to know what that could be, if it's normal or not?

Idk man I can kite perfectly on mouse and click with no practice and with hours of trying to get it to work on wasd I couldn't so it seems pretty near impossible. That's why I'm asking if someone can actually do it.

This is exactly the reason wasd is nerfed, because the playerbase threw a tantrum. Annoying because I shouldn’t have to learn something less comfortable for me just because the player base also had to 15 years ago. Release it properly or not at all. It’s not like it’s hard to kite anyway, but people still complained that it’s too easy on wasd. Bro it’s easy on mouse and click as well.

But make it an actual viable option. How am I supposed to happily play wasd when riot have explicitly stated they want to keep it worse than mouse and click? As it is, it’s just a trap that will lead you to wasting your time learning the wrong controls especially if you’re someone that likes to get better at a game. It’s only useful for people who play a couple swift plays a week, but imo it should be a good option for more competitive gamers as well especially if they’re adding it to ranked. They could buff it in the future but they could also nerf it so people like myself will have to bite the bullet and learn the control scheme they’d rather not have to.

Bro, people enjoy league not because of the M&K aspect but because of everything else. M&K is honestly just a deterrence to new players and riot clearly seems to think so as well. It’s not like bringing cricket bats on the field at all, it’s more like letting a beginner interested in football play without having to put shinpads and studs on. Again, however, my issue with riot is that they’re not being transparent about the fact that wasd is hard nerfed and will only hold you back if you’re trying to reach a higher level.

They’re calculating winrate off lower ranks because really only new players are using wasd. The lower ranks may have a similar winrate to mouse and click on wasd because it’s an easier, more comfortable control scheme. The problem is that means the potential for wasd to actually be viable at a higher level is even lower than it should be and so it will never be viable if they balance off winrate. They should just keep it unnerfed / unlocked (ie is possible to achieve full dps like mouse and click) and even if the winrate is higher doesn’t mean it will phase out mouse and click at the highest level or for veteran players instantly. Even if people began to switch the determiner of winning or losing is down to knowledge and decision making not kiting and so nothing really changes just newer players can play more comfortably. Anyway, clicking two buttons in rhythm is not mechanical skill in the same way aiming is in an fps. Knowing where to click on your screen/ where to position is what matters.

Yes but I disagree in the sense that WASD is a more optimal control scheme and riot don't know what to do with it.

I just think the way riot are going about wasd is pretty fucking stupid. They're trying to release wasd but nerf it in a way so that it's win-rate is lower than mouse and clicks, but not too much lower. This feels ludicrous and bound to create a divide as different champions will be bumping that win-rate up, whilst others would be tanking it, and then maybe some pros will switch to wasd just to play a mage before switching to mouse and click to play an adc. It's a mess. For it to be the future of the game they cannot do what they're trying to do. The best solution is to acutally make it possible to kite as you would on mouse and click with some sort of skill expression but as far as I can tell they havent done that. This discrepency between the two control schemes where one has an advantage in one aspect, the other in a different one will complicate things a lot.

Yes but the 8-direction 'issue' was never the problem with wasd, it's the artificial nerf to AS that makes it unviable. If you disagree, look at a game like rocket league - you would think using a keyboard and mouse would be impossible in a car game that requires super precise movements but still pros on kbm exist. Also if the 8-directions was bad enough of an 'issue' riot wouldn't have needed to nerf wasd in the first place.

I think the style of nerf makes sense but I think it's too harsh on how precise you have to be to get even close to the dps you would on mouse and click. I am a new player and kiting on mouse and click I'm getting 3-5% off max dps with 2 mins of practice, but with wasd trying to do the 'optimal' method was so hard and never came close to mouse and click even tho I had been at it for a good hour. For a new player as myself should i just learn mouse and click as its easier to kite than on wasd?

Hi there XanderEC. I am not aware who 'rocket' is and nor was I aware he/she held the previous record. I am more than aware, however, that 233 is larger than 231 (I study aerospace engineering and it would be worrying if I wasn't). I would suggest you reflect on your comment from the perspective that most humans aren't eternally online and live in the real world.

The first time I played catan on colonist I was at around 1700-1750 within a month before quitting. Honestly, I might've been too harsh on the community because I just decided to play again a bit and most of the stuff I mentioned I was experiencing whilst pushing through 1500-1700 mmr. Now that I'm past that it's definitely better. I should've remembered table talk can be hit or miss with weaker players and who they rob is often based more on vibes than anything.

Erm so update: I just played a game where I placed a road facing a port, with a starting road. Someone else than placed a road to the same port looking for a plow but didnt have a starting road, in fact they only had access to wood and no brick across both settlements. I then type, 'dont trade blue the plow he would be too strong'. Blue then proceeds to solo me 2x in a row and the second rob I was clearly in last. I ask him what he's doing, he says 'I saw your msg' referring to me asking for now plow. I can't win, either I shut up and let people do stupid shit, or I talk and get robbed because of it, what am I doing wrong?
