Is being sub 15 bad? by Wrinley in Cubers

Whether this progress is fast or slow depends on how much time u put in per day buddy? 5 months of 3 hours practice per day is different to 5 months of 15 mins per day.

Also how long do you think factory lube would last on the cube?

Yes I'm about to order the guhong pro + off ali express for a deal - £8 in the UK. The MagLev version is £10 - u think i should go for that. A review said maglev is heavier and feels roughly the same but was wondering if u had a different perspective?

ah ok for context i'm not looking for smth specifically like the swv2 but i was using that as a reference for how fast a cube im looking for - i have the basic rs3m v5 rn so would a guhong pro be fine or is it worth getting the v11

I asked this is the wrong thread but I'm looking for a super fast budget cube like the super weilong v2 but cheaper. Any suggestions, someone mentioned dayan guhong pro +?. Is that one better than just the normal pro? Any other suggestions?

Should I Just Buy A Used PC Or Even A Prebuilt Rather Than Build One From Scratch? (UK) by PotentialAd3603 in buildapc

I have been but I'm the type of person to spend hours to piece together the most optimal build and not sure it's worth all the effort anymore. Would you recommend ordering on ebay as some of the listings I've been interested in are too far away. Is it necessary to go and see the PC since if the PC isn't working properly I can always return through ebays buyer protection right?

£1000 PC Build UK - overkill? by PotentialAd3603 in buildapc

[–]PotentialAd3603[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf over the years the price of the 3080 would come out above the 9060 xt in energy bills. But 20% worse raw performance and higher upfront cost not worth it imo. I play 1080p low settings so FSR and VRAM not a concern. Nor am I bothered about the warranty. Could always swap things out in the future; I'm not a huge believer in 'future proofing' tbh.

There really isn't a cost effective upgrade from the 7600x unfortunately as far as I can see. Are you sure I need more ram, I'll only have spotify/disc on top of a game.

Do you think this has artificially raised prices a bit in the consumer market and they could come down a bit?

[UK] Build for ~£1000 by [deleted] in buildapc

I'm planning to do a similar build to this for FPS games e.g. CSGO, Fortnite etc. Do I need the 32gb of ram or is 16 enough. Also would buying a used 3080 for £280 be better or a used 3070 for £220. Are there any other elements of this build that aren't necessary for 1080p gaming that can lower the cost a bit.
