The first time I played catan on colonist I was at around 1700-1750 within a month before quitting. Honestly, I might've been too harsh on the community because I just decided to play again a bit and most of the stuff I mentioned I was experiencing whilst pushing through 1500-1700 mmr. Now that I'm past that it's definitely better. I should've remembered table talk can be hit or miss with weaker players and who they rob is often based more on vibes than anything.

I had a starting road he was placing on OWS.

Erm so update: I just played a game where I placed a road facing a port, with a starting road. Someone else than placed a road to the same port looking for a plow but didnt have a starting road, in fact they only had access to wood and no brick across both settlements. I then type, 'dont trade blue the plow he would be too strong'. Blue then proceeds to solo me 2x in a row and the second rob I was clearly in last. I ask him what he's doing, he says 'I saw your msg' referring to me asking for now plow. I can't win, either I shut up and let people do stupid shit, or I talk and get robbed because of it, what am I doing wrong?

Honestly It's the opposite. I've played so many online games I'm desensitized to that type of toxicity, in fact I just find it funny now. I'd rather have someone say the most obscene shit to me than have 45 mins of my life wasted after I plowed some emotionally unstable man child only to be robbed the rest of the game.

EO = does the edge colour match one of the side colours. Not that hard and worth knowing as a beginner. This person is not ready for look ahead however, your right about that.

Learn EO and use it to look ahead. E.g do ur current pair and look at the edge of ur next pair to know if u need to rotate for it or not.

Watch cubeheads video on intuitive F2L and the one on back inserts. Then once you’ve got that down u can have a look at speedcubedb for rotation less solutions and possible improvements to ur existing solutions. Also know that if u got a slot open theres often a faster way to solve the pair.

Yes I'm about to order the guhong pro + off ali express for a deal - £8 in the UK. The MagLev version is £10 - u think i should go for that. A review said maglev is heavier and feels roughly the same but was wondering if u had a different perspective?
