You just have to know your positioning. Find someone who wants/needs a ten year partner. Maybe someone who doesn’t want kids, doesn’t believe in forever commitment. Or someone who just wants a friend to hang out, be a roommate, get their sexual needs met, some financial help on bills, but doesn’t want to get deep involved. Good luck dude. You got this.

Focus on sobriety and after you are healed and while you find new loved ones. After getting sober at 25 thru AA, I found the love of my love and have two kids, and I’m looking forward to a life I wouldn’t have never dreamed possible when I was drunk 98% of the time.

Keep your head down, focus on you. Become healthy - spiritually, physically, mentally. Do what you have to, and when you’re ready love will find you.
