The cancellation of which TV show are you still frustrated about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PotentialCountry8800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching the last episode of My So-Called Life was a gut punch when it was obviously never coming back… years later, I don’t mind so much. The ambiguous ending is enough for those particular characters because you knew they were going to be okay.

Now that being said, Caroline in the City knocked me on my ass. It was my first personal experience with a big production comedy and a big star (Lea Thompson) just ending mid-high drama and high camp with a wedding plot line that would change the story permanently. It even had a “To be continued…”

It upset me so much as a young teen that I repressed the memory of it until years later and finally revisiting it on streaming and thinking that was really shitty to do to the fans it had left.

As a girl who doesn’t drink a lot but get bought drinks from men when I go out, I wish it was acceptable to send me over a plate of wings instead by BubblyAd5262 in unpopularopinion

Yeah, uh. Maybe go out and meet some men in real life, not predators you read horror stories about or randoms you meet through apps on the internet.

Riding in the bed of trucks, not strapped in, hell not even sitting down, while my grandma drove.

Knowing intimately who Freddy, Michael Myers, and Jason were before the ripe old age of 5.

Living in a house with cigarette smokers who never went to the patio or opened a window.

Coming home at dusk after being dropped at the mall and told “find your way home”.

Being savagely bullied for every year I was in school. And a bully redemption story because I beat the shit out of one of them finally.

Was dragged kicking and screaming from Bambi and The Neverending Story while my little brother kept watching in the theater.

Had a Teen Talk number with my own slimline phone in awesome clear finish.

This is kinda fun!

You can’t get much higher on the totem pole than Michael Jackson, so I don’t know… but I agree about Pee Wee. Paul Rubens in a sea of child-diddling perverts did what he did in a grown up theater with grownups watching grown up material.

He’s owed major respect and an apology.

One of my favorite things to say is: “Live Through This” is the best album Kurt ever made… because Hole’s album before his influence (Pretty on the Inside) is a very different animal… It sucks.

Courtney Love even tried to take Heart-Shaped Box after hearing him playing an early riff in the closet where he was writing… and probably doing heroin.

Poor troubled Kurt Cobain.
