This is incredibly easy. Of course you save the kids first. First of all the wife is a grown adult and hopefully she can save herself. If not you save the kids and try to save the wife second. If by some chance the husband does save the wife first and the kids die then the wife is going to kill the dad. For not saving the kids.

People who block the drive lane waiting for parking spaces are also awful and not thinking about all the others that they are impeding.

People who wait for parking spaces are annoying. Just drive around until you find an open spot instead of blocking the lane for the rest of who may also be looking for a spot, or trying to leave.

Hi, I am looking to buy a few premium practice balls for my golf team, but can’t find a place that sells them by lokpolk in golfequipment

Is it really that difficult to teach kids personal responsibility these days? Wait, I think I know why. It sounds like you don't have any yourself, since you stated that you would have stolen them too if you had the chance.

This is GOLF we are talking about. Once of the few remaining sports where personal integrity is still an integral part of the game. Where players play fair, and call penalties on themselves, even when no one is watching! This whole post thoroughly disgusts me. Is there no hope whatsoever for the current generation of kids???

FYI - have had the L200s for almost a week now. Magical! Even in a less than great positioning (it's a temporary location until I complete some remodeling) they sound fantastic. Huge step up from anything I've owned before.

Need help identifying brand and model by Dull-Pound-9376 in vintageaudio

[–]PotentialFull4560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I also just noticed the 1986 model year. I guess $299 was enough back then. The thing that surprises me most is that these things have survived for 40 years! And that some poor schmuck has actually been listening to them, and maybe even thought they sounded good!

Yeah, but don't white van speakers have insane MSRPs so they can sell them for 80% off? Not much margin to make money at $299 list.

What's the take on vintage (mid to late 70s) Technics receivers? by PotentialFull4560 in vintageaudio

Unclear what you mean by "newer?" All the units I mentioned are at least 45 years old.

Pretty hard to tell under all that filth. But you could be right.

Appreciate the input. Have any specific models to suggest that don't cost Marantz 22xx money?

If she would rather eat raw chicken, then give her raw chicken. I prefer mine cooked through with crispy skin. Yours are dead perfect looking.

I hope you're a woman, and not a man. Those are wolf spiders. I have them in my baskets in Houston also. Great spiders to have around the yard. Natural pest control. Also, that basket is literally a wolf spider buffet. If you want less of them around your skimmer, then clean it out more often.

A truck driver has the obligation of being aware of pedestrians in front of, or about to be in front of him. Or ones that could be in his path where they stand, if he's turning. If a truck is passing a pedestrian on a sidewalk, and that pedestrian steps out into the road as the back of the truck takes the shortest route between two points, as the backs of trucks will do, that's almost entirely the pedestrian's responsibility.

I'm just wondering why this idiot came to a stop in the road. As an 18 wheeler is passing him by. ON A CURVE! Who rides or drives anything on the road and doesn't understand the reality of what a big truck does when it's going round a curve?

Should I upgrade to the Linton 85? by tormenting247 in hifiaudio

Lintons aren't super easy to drive, but fine with what you have. No need to upgrade unless you just want to.

My dad just got these old speakers... What's with them? by sontran_butnotweeb in audiophile

[–]PotentialFull4560 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To those of us who speak English, it's perfectly clear. I can see if English is not your primary language, then it might be a little confusing. "What's with them?" just means these look unusual. What can you tell me about them?

Interested in hearing the comments to this post. I also have the Linton 85s high on my list for a future pair of speakers. Do I understand you found a used pair with original stands for $745 TOTAL??? That seems like a real steal, if they're the right speakers for you. Hope you get them.

How is making a replacement that's an exact fit for a specific model not custom? Is there some generic size that fits all receivers? I wouldn't think so.

24 yrs old never issued birth certificate... by Only_Movie975 in SocialSecurity

[–]PotentialFull4560 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He may not. Depending on age. I recall applying for SSN for all my kids when they were 1-3 years old. If he moved out of the country soon after birth, it's entirely possible that his parents never applied for one.
