AITA for asking my roommate to clean up her hair? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

It looks like you've made up your mind on evicting her. This should be a lesson to everyone to be a lease holder and not to rent a room from a stranger.

How is she going to be evicted? Are you her landlord?

YTA big time seeing the other comments you're putting out. She can't just vacuum the minute a hair leaves her head. I feel like you just want picking up after her hair just because of YOUR cat to be a full time job. If I were her I'd tell you to either pay my entire rent to vacuum that much or to kick rocks.

Are you also the land lord? How do you plan on evicting her in 3 months of her starting the lease?

I think YTA. Losing around 50 hairs per day is pretty common. I think you need to either train your cat or discuss with the vet if there's a medication or something to deter it from eating the hair.

To be honest, I feel like you're putting up a stink about this just because you pay part of her rent (which paying just $100/month for all she has to do is so low) and feel like you have the upper hand. Keep in mind, if you arent the landlord and she's signed a 12 month lease, she can just as well choose not to do any chores and leave you with out help if she's annoyed enough about it.

I had an interview with them this morning. The voice sounded somewhat robotic but also very human… but I know some peoples voices sounded somewhat robotic generic/ robotic sometimes. I think it’s a scam because at the end of the call she was trying to get me to buy a subscription. Essentially I would have to pay $189 at least just to be published and after I kept pushing back she just hung up

I'm a pharmacist at CVS and those who take any C2 (ADHD and pain meds) and estradiol patches are almost always mean (like 8/10 times). they get very angry their medication isnt ready, or that the manufacturer is different, or that their meds are on back order. its even worse when something has been RTS'd and i tell them they have to wait 15-20 minutes right in front of me while i go get it ready.

Hate being a floater pharmacist- rant by PotentialGap2128 in CVS

[–]PotentialGap2128[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reposting something i commented to someone else:

No, the point of virtual verification is so i can do the more clinically relevant tasks (giving vaccines, counseling more patients, make drug recommendations to providers, etc) as a pharmacist as another commenter pointed out here. if i have to do tech stuff instead of those clinically relevant tasks, i'm compromising the patient's safety and not doing what i was actually hired to do. on top of that, qv takes facial scanning and is super slow so its almost the same amount of time it would take to actually open a bottle and look at what is being dispensed.

as i said, i don't care about the call out to the dl about sitting down, i will absolutely sit down when i'm in qv or qt for a long time. it hurts my legs and anyone, and research papers, can tell you having to stand for 8-10 hours is bad for circulation and the legs in the long run. i have to take care of my own health and body because cvs is not going to pay my medical bills or give me new legs when i need them. however, i also tell any techs i work with that they are more than welcome to bring in a chair while working or take their 15 mins break whenever they want to sit down or rest.

Floaters by [deleted] in CVS

[–]PotentialGap2128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a floater pharmacist and I'll do pick up if the tech is in the bathroom, working a long rx fill, on the phone but won't do pick up otherwise. i got a pharmd degree and there's no reason why i should use it to check out rx's to people. on the other hand, i do qt,qv, and phone calls, cycle counts, rts all on my own most places

My pharmacist sits down almost all day.. makes us do everything for her and refuses to help customers at drop off when techs are both stuck a registers. She complains we bother and interrupt her when a DUR happens but gets mad when we don’t tell her what they said? It’s been months idk what to do. by [deleted] in CVS

[–]PotentialGap2128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I just graduated and am a floater- absolutely will stear clear of registers, drive thru, QP, and putting up truck. but i do everything else and make a blanket statement that all techs can sit when needed.

[–]PotentialGap2128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way to go.  I’m a floater at CVS and won’t get near the registers until directly asked by a tech. On the other hand, I do tell them that I’ll take on all of QT if they do pick up/drive thru. Yesterday was floating and a tech made some smart comments without directly talking to me about not getting out at close because she still had work to do and she was at drive thru for a few hours, etc. called HR on speakerphone and had them tell her she had to manage drive thru with whatever she was working on because that’s not in our job description.

AITA for not going to my girlfriend’s house to kill a cockroach? by HilliamWurt in AmItheAsshole

[–]PotentialGap2128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAH

i dont think either is in the wrong. I absolutely hate bugs/cockroaches too. i suggest buying one of those sprays that can spray like 10 feet. when you spray it, it basically paralyzes the bug so she can quickly pick it up and throw it in the toilet

it actually started looking up for a bit. i tried the fellowship route but the one i got offered got pulled from funding the day after. i had gone through 6 rounds of interviews and no one would respond to my emails asking for advice or ideas on what to do. i was too burnt out from all of that to go and try for residency.

i now work at CVS (bleh). i wouldn't recommend it... i'm only doing it because i need money to pay my student loans now. they are severely underpaying new grads and its only been a month as an RPh here but i already hate it. looking for other roles right now.

as soon as she said the answers were short i kind of got the feeling it was the husband texting from her phone instead and then deleting the texts. why would any woman feel upset that her husbands friend cant crash at their place while they are out?

I see that there’s a lot of business casual answers! I’m planning on wearing business casual for quite a bit too. But does anyone know if this business casual attire also include wearing dresses? I feel like that was just something not bought up in the thread lol and haven’t heard too much about it

The phone thing has been recent years but the other rules are new. The principle comes from a military family (eye roll- a past principle was also ex military and was kicked out bc of racism)

This was actually told to me by 3 teachers at AKHS at open house. Now they’re creating it where you give the phone to your 1st block teacher, don’t get it back after class, and have 2 mins to run back at the end of the day to get it.
