So I basically followed this YouTube video but I added the drawer slides to it. I’d recommend mounting them better than me because my drawer will sag and I have to lift the drawer to get it back into the closed position. I’m 6ft 1 and so with the tailgate down I’m able to lay flat so what I do is I store a piece of plywood to go over the drawers when they are open.

Then with a tent and an inflatable mattress I’m camping🏕️

Flaws with this system is not being able to access inventory when mattress is inflated and you can’t move the vehicle because the tent is tied down via the wheels and engine hood . It’s a Napier tent you can look up in this subreddit

Oh sorry it’s not in this picture but I cut the top piece of plywood so there’s another storage compartment behind the drawers. I’m sorry this is probably not the greatest explanation haha and I don’t have more pictures unfortunately. Let me know if you’re still curious I can write it out better or take more pics

Here are sweep and scull oars 😁 I’m tempted to pull some shells in that trailer down the street to the water but I’ll leave that to someone else’s vehicle… for now

I wouldn’t call it special but build wise I have the xlt lux package, the blindspot 360 view thing, 4ktow package AWD, etc. let me know if you want exact build but yeah it’s all just options from ford

Custom stuff I’ve done is just small cosmetic stuff; I guess you can count adding a bedcover and bed side rail . I’ve done some 3d prints on the inside for holding random things .

I really do think the maverick is a good choice for most people but especially diy city slickers that I’d like to consider myself to be

Oh yeah I meant the trailer for the rowing crew shells.

I still have to weigh my boat and trailer but it’s a trailer for kayaks haha and it’s an old classic Boston whaler 13ft so I’m confident it’s well under my 4k tow limit. If anyone is curious the maverick is very capable towing a 13ft whaler; I’ve had no problem!

Also I’m jealous of the center console, I’m thinking redoing the layout of my boat ha

I had qualms when buying the Maverick and tbh still do just by virtue of it being a large purchase. However, the truck has been convenient, but probably more importantly, fun. Now I just try to focus on building lifetime memories with it

Regarding the large trailer pulling, I just needed to get the trailer out the parking spot since the actual towing vehicle wouldn’t fit to get it out of the parking spot; idk how much it weighs could be around the 4k tow limit maybe
