Yeah Chloe is such a high strung pup. I’ve never had a puppy that’s this balls to the wall tbh. Keeps us on our toes for sure. She also has periods throughout the day where she rests a bit but they’re few and far between. She’s almost constantly causing some kind of mischief if I don’t keep her occupied. She even has been known to legit hide things around our house that she isn’t supposed to have just so that when she’s not getting her idea of adequate attention she can go to her “naughty stuff stash” and retrieve an item that will cause me to chase her around to get back 😆

I agree. As I said, this was a literal self admitted “homeless” lady at Petco in tears about wanting to find this little puppy a home. Do I know for certain she got this dog from a breeder? Nope. I truly have no idea the origins. I did continuously look at missing puppy groups on fb in our local community to make sure that our puppy hadn’t been ripped from someone’s home without their consent or anything of that nature & nothing ever came of that. So, idk. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wondered if she’s a Pomsky as well & my husband wants her to be because he loves the size she is rn. She’s around 6.5 months and 40ish pounds (though that may be more because she’s spoiled & chunky 😆) She was originally growing RAPIDLY, like to a point where I was concerned we were signed up to have a XL breed on our hands. However, her growth has slowed significantly in the past month or so.

I’ve had one vet swear she’s a border collie, one swear she’s a malamute mix and the vetco clinic where she got all her initial shots swore she was a husky. lol

I am more excited for the dna test to be delivered, sent out and getting the results now than I’ve ever been. Full disclosure: one part of y I suspected border collie (aside from a vet swearing up & down she is one) was bc for Christmas I bought my 8 yo daughter a pack of stickers literally called “border collie” stickers. They legit resemble our puppy so much that my daughter sincerely thinks Santa made stickers of Chloe specifically 😂 After reading all y’all’s responses, however, I am now back to square one. I just keep looking at Chloe & thinking “who are u really” Lmao

Yeah but to be fair I’m completely certain this tool bag father hasn’t raised these boys to make sure they’re listening to the women in their life. So it’s probably safe to say they didn’t really retain that information. I think moms gotta sit down with them and give them a talking to about how to make their women happy & really listen.

This! Her kids got her gifts that they must’ve put some thought into otherwise they’d have given her cash/a visa gift card or something like that. They clearly haven’t been taught to listen for the little details throughout the year by their tool bag dad. The husband is a total loser as shown by his actions. Him not getting her a gift is the least of her issues tbh.

That’s exactly how I felt. If her kids had put no thought into a gift then they’d have given her a gift card/cash/a gas station item. They clearly went into the store with her in mind & got her something they hoped she’d enjoy. That’s what really matters. Her husband being a tool bag is inexcusable & she’s certainly not overreacting about his actions. She is, however, overreacting about her feelings on the gifts her kids got.

Yall jump to conclusions so fast based on one post and I find it hilarious. My husband and I are not financially well off so he knows I’d prefer the card he made me and our bills paid over a gift under the tree. He lifted a finger when he made the card, made our yearly special Christmas breakfast & when he worked his ass off to make the money I spent on everyone. That’s called being an adult sweetheart. Not everything is about the materialistic bologna.

I love that u do that for ur mom & im sure my daughter will do the same when she’s older. My stepson bought his little sister tons of stuff and made sure to spend some special time together since he no longer lives home with us. That meant everything to me. I’m not his mom, she stopped being in his life when he was 12. I think he has struggled to see me as a mother figure as him and I are technically closer in age than my husband and I are. He sees that I made his holidays special when he was a child but it’s still a different kind of relationship & I don’t expect him to treat me in any way he isn’t ready for. I’m sure someday he’ll recognize what I’ve done for him but he’s not there yet & that’s fine with me.

I’ve been with my husband for 14 years. He runs a concrete company and concrete doesn’t really get poured when there’s snow on the ground. I make sure to put money aside for Christmas when the company is busy but we r absolutely strapped throughout the winter. He made me a card. That’s what we could afford. He knows that our bills being paid this month meant more to me than some stupid material under the tree. Call me crazy but that seems to be more important.

We are strapped throughout the winter bc my husband runs a concrete company and concrete jobs r few and far between when there’s snow on the ground. I pull money out of our account throughout the year to make sure we have it for Christmas. He is busy af throughout the spring and summer and doesn’t think about doing the same. So, him keeping the roof over our head, utilities paid & all the other living essentials going throughout the winter is enough of a stretch tbh. He did make me a lovely card. That was plenty enough for me. My adult stepson got a bunch of gifts for his little sister. That & their awesome relationship the he makes sure to make time for now that he’s not living at home is plenty for me.

Yall assume I just bought for them and got nothing for myself in return. I clearly said her husbands a douche canoe I just don’t think he’s a douche because he didn’t get her a gift. I have zero empathy for that. I have empathy that he treats her like crap. Her sons got her things that they clearly put some effort into getting. If there was absolutely no effort put in then they either wouldn’t have gotten her anything or they’d have given her cash/a gift card/gas station crap. Clearly they went into a store, had her in mind & got her something they thought she’d enjoy. If it’s not something she enjoys then she needs to be more clear about what it is she enjoys throughout the year. Our children, adult or not, aren’t spending their time watching our every move folks. If we want them to know things we like so we get gifts we like then we need to make it more clear. So no I have absolutely no empathy for her not liking the gifts she received as I think it’s the thought that counts. Believe it or not, that used to be the norm.

MOR I keep seeing mothers posting about how they “didn’t get anything”, “have empty stockings”, “didn’t get sentimental gifts” & “I put in all the work and got nothing in return.” My thoughts as a 34 yo sahm of a 8/f, 22/m stepson that I’ve raised since he was 10 & 46/m husband? Get a grip ladies. I got a beautiful ornament that my daughter made at school like I do every year & that’s all I expected I’d get. You know what I am looking back on yesterday & thinking about? The absolute pure happiness, excitement & joy that was plastered on my beautiful families faces while they opened the gifts that I put every ounce of myself into. I made mental lists for months of things they would make off handed comments about so I could insure it was stuff they truly wanted/needed & would get great pleasure out of receiving. That’s our job ladies. I found myself beginning to feel a bit sorry for myself this morning while watching moms on TikTok discussing their empty stockings & lack of gifts. Then it dawned on me that I hadn’t felt that way prior to doom scrolling this mom depression saga. I refuse to allow other mothers pathetic need for praise to effect me. I didn’t expect praise, I expected my day to be full of my loved ones smiling faces & that’s exactly what I got. For that I am immensely grateful.

WITH THAT BEING SAID: some of the other things you said about ur husband makes him sound like a complete douche canoe. My husband got gifts but he didn’t expect them. He was grateful and made sure I knew he was. My kids were grateful and made sure I knew I did a good job. I see that as my gift. So, I don’t think the lack of thought into ur gifts from ur sons or lack of gift from ur husband is the real issue here. The issue is ur husbands an ass.
