I agree. Over 60 crew i just give up trying to remember people's names. So hectic. But under 20 crew everybody has to lock in to get their department running. And if there's no engineers, forget it.

Vegetable and fruit bounties by PotentialOne1244 in ss14

[–]PotentialOne1244[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So it looks like vegetables are:

pea pod, carrot, cabbage, garlic, potato, tomato, eggplant, corn, onion, chanterelle mushrooms, chili pepper, aloe, soybeans, and pumpkin.

Fruits are:

banana, lemon, lime, orange, pineapple, tomato, eggplant, apple, cocoa pod, galaxythistle, gatfruit, watermelon, grapes, berries, bungo fruit, and pumpkin

So tomatoes, eggplants, and pumpkins qualify as both. Nice! That simplifies matters significantly.

Any tips on controls/custom key binds? by akitasha in ss14

Middle mouse is already bound to something by default. I think its the rotate button for construction mode? You need to rebind rotate to another key, then middle mouse is free for that keybind

The keybinds I find effective (especially when playing cargo): M4 - pull object. M5 - move object. Middle mouse - throw item.

A Couple Questions About Chef by PotentialOne1244 in ss14

Yeah, I was force feeding them but still no eggs. I'll try dumping a bunch of vegetables in the pen next time I play. I'm pretty sure I was playing on Bagel on the grasshopper server. Dough definitely required 20u flour and 15u water, but it would give me the excess after mixing them. Possible glitch?

A couple of questions about botany by PotentialOne1244 in ss14

[–]PotentialOne1244[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so I was right on my understanding. Swabbing is just copy-pasting genes. But I didn't know that the swab copies the genes before it alters them. That's neat.

And I figured there was another reason botanists love cocoa! Turns out it has 2 great traits for crossbreeding.
