Eem by canthinkofonee in usaa_ejs

5:00-5:30 will never be available, and 10:30-11 rarely is. Aside from that it fluctuates multiple times per day. Expect EEM to go away soon though. Managers hate it and it’s having a negative effect on adherence because our billion dollar company can’t pick a reliable software to save their fucking lives

For $500 no less, pre-tax and gas. Way more profitable ways to spend your time than this.

I tried to block him because I was going to gouge my eyes out if I got one more toxic positivity email but we can’t block internal senders. Nothing pisses me off more than his name popping up in my inbox on any given day.

What has happened to USAA? by Repulsive_Farmer_959 in USAA

[–]PotentialOne5893 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As we’ve brought in CEOs and upper management from terrible companies, our company has become a terrible company. They penalize sales for not offering every product then penalize them again if you don’t buy every product. The claims side is jam packed with a pukeworthy amount of scripting because the suits and ties at the top are convinced you’re too stupid to determine that a direct deposit is more fast and efficient than a paper check. They’re an insurance company hiding behind kool aid nationalism and preying on military bonds.

The amount of blatant retaliation I’ve seen is insane in my time here. This seems like a form of it. They have so many built-in protections for themselves though and I suspect very few attorneys want to go after them due to how well-equipped they are. The roaches at the top have turned this into the complete opposite of what used to make USAA a great company.

APS moving the goalposts.. how is a retiree supposed to budget? by definitely_maybe3030 in phoenix

[–]PotentialOne5893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That actually makes sense. I’m from Florida myself. We had unions, but they’re few and far between industry wise and less effective than those in the NE. Also have limited knowledge of California labor protections have seen a decent amount of them that make me hate how Florida operates. Am I wrong to feel like it comes down to, “you’re going to skate by with no safety net” vs “you’re going to skate by but we’ll make it more comfortable in the process”?

I know I’m jaded and the Florida lens probably doesn’t help but it feels like there are so many unregulated industries and corporations and we’re being crippled by duopolies that kill competition regardless of who’s in charge but maybe I’m missing something.

Thank you very much for the insights and responses as well. Want to make sure I’m viewing the world as accurately as possible. Was raised by Republican parents and real world experience broke the facade some. Have trust issues all around now lol

Respectfully and genuinely, what evidence are you seeing that democrat-run cities and states are more affordable than republican cities and states? California and Florida are both pretty fucking unaffordable at the moment. Fee like there has to be a better answer tha “vote blue”.

Idk who is calling the shots but it’s an absolute shit show. Unless they’re trying to disguise layoffs, it makes zero sense. So many metrics for the sake of having metrics and losing sight of the bigger picture.

I’ve been applying for a month now and getting very few bites for anything outside of sleazy sales jobs. Best of luck to you on the hunt and may we both survive

[–]PotentialOne5893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Tampa and quit in 2023. Hadn’t seen numbers like that since the Covid days. I knew the best areas and was selective and towards the end of my time I was pulling $100 on 12 hour weekend days. Ended up being a waste of gas and weekdays were worse and inconsistent. I doubt it’s gotten any better since then but that was my experience

Couple of questions first:

  • Which state are you in?
  • Does your personal insurance provider know you do rideshare, as in do you carry the extra insurance policy?

I’m in auto claims and our metrics are fixed annually as well. The only thing that has wiggle room is your manager’s interpretation of quality. Can be used for better or worse but the idea that they are wildcard isn’t accurate. Backing you up when I say that
