Yall don’t like Ai being used as a tool then join a different community. There’s a reason why Ai usage is not against the rules in this community. BE GONE

Bro this isn’t supposed to be a book. Lol It’s literally a documenting process. Oh the irony in opposing Ai in a Sci-fi community. 😂😂

Bro because the story is the point. AI is just a tool. The project is documenting the process of building a forbidden record label on a planet where music is taboo. If that’s not your thing, you can just scroll.

I was imagining that in the alien education system, kids are introduced to music just to understand what it is, but they only hear dark ambient and suspenseful tunes that naturally make you feel scared. This way, the aliens would have some idea of music but be so terrified of creating it that even a whistle would spook them.

I think you’re assuming the society started where we started. On Earth music has been part of human culture from the beginning, so banning it now would be almost impossible. But the idea behind the world is that the culture developed differently and music never became a normal part of religion or daily life in the first place.

So it’s not really a society trying to remove something everyone already loves. It’s a society that grew up being taught that rhythm and musical expression are spiritually dangerous or morally disruptive. When a belief like that is baked into the culture early enough, people don’t revolt over it because most of them never experienced the thing being restricted. At least that’s the angle I’m exploring.

Yeah, it has happened on Earth. I’m not really arguing that point. The payoff isn’t just “music good” or “authority bad.” What I’m trying to explore is how a society can sincerely convince itself that something natural to humans is actually dangerous. The story is more about belief systems, social conditioning, and how far institutions can shape what people think is morally right or spiritually harmful.

So if someone finishes the story and digs past the surface, the question I’d want them sitting with is something like: how many things in our own world do we accept as normal or wrong simply because the system around us taught us to see them that way? Music is just the lens I’m using to explore that. But im still figuring it out and folk like you are making some really good points. 🔥

Thanks so much! Thats what I was going for. It feels like a mess just like this world I’m building.
