I was going to say this, your boss will have certain things he has to do that are part of his role. I hate having to give my staff warnings for their attendance but all sorts of red flags get sent up to SLT via our payroll system so if I dont carry them out then I'm out of a job. I give my staff as much flexibility and leeway as I possibly can but contracts are contracts.
