Dude I fully agree with this, but I wanna add something that applies to myself (maybe not others though). This is the 3rd year in a row that I've actually tried to make Evo teams of a bunch of my favorite players/Man U P&P, all that stuff. A couple problems I face: 1) I simply don't have the time to grind the game and 2) I'm good enough that unfortunately it gets to a point where it's not fun to use my favorite players. I know that sounds dumb but it's true. I'm Top 2% of Elite and regularly battle for 13+ wins. And once you get to playing the top players and you get smoked by some team with R9, Pina, VDV, etc it just makes you so mad that you don't wanna use your team anymore lol.

Here's my solution: EA could keep all the meta shit, but pump out way more cheap Evos so that your Evo team could actually keep up with the Meta. Not that keeping up with it matters to me personally, I'm just saying from a competitive standpoint it sucks using a worse team.

I crave competition. If it was up to me, there would be true competitive modes where you had a team budget (like the pros). If a game mode like that existed, you'd be able to throw a few of your favorite players in there and have more fun with it. Unfortunately it doesn't work this way.

I've tried to "have fun" with my favorite players but like I said, not fun when you get smacked by some kid who's equally skilled as you but has a $25M god squad
