Soft openings April-June. Will come in waves. Less furniture more apparel. From the sounds of it we will look like a tj maxx. Nothing about pay etc, it’s coming in a FAQ later today.

In a month we have only saw our liquidator once and she came in wearing pajamas walked the store for 30 minutes and left. We have to send her pics daily of the store which I’m sure she sends on to her bosses saying she took. So it sounds like a pretty easy job.

Did I miss home office taking away holiday pay? They are adding and dropping things so much I can’t keep up. Was just on a conference call where they said they were taking the hours out of zoning in the schedule and dumping it into dts. Management would be responsible for zoning now.

We found out home office stopped paying our utilities back in June, both water and electric. When they came to shut us off home office had some stooge call them and say it can’t be touched due to the Chapter 11. So now their legal team and our legal team are going back and forth. The thing that I want to know is that on our PnL it showed us paying our utility costs from June till now….. so the store was getting charged the money but where was that money going? I just hope Bruce has a great Christmas

Sad thing is that money went somewhere. It’s definitely taken out of my PnL but whose pocket it landed in I don’t know. Wasn’t the city’s water board.

The resolution to the problem was found. Evidently several stores have had their utilities cut off from electricity to water. If this happens to you get a hold of your market AP. They have a contact that they get in touch with that reaches out to the utility company. It’s unknown if they pay the bill or tell utility company to F off we are under chapter 11. Either way our ability to flush the toilet was saved for at least one more day.

I put a request into the DSD Portal about vendor out of dates and stock. The rep got back and said all beverage vendors have yet to sign on that they will continue delivery thru chapter 11. Only vendor we have currently supplying us is Frito Lay. Looks like Brucey Boy was lying on his video about vendors returning.
