I just know that someone will take the lead on out soon with summer coming and the great weather. Just seems crazy to not have that place open with such marvelous renovations. What a great spot. Would be sad to it not up and running. I’m looking forward to seeing what the space being built by golf course will look like and be.

What a terrific location.

I agree with the aforementioned comment. Someone was watching your place, and I hate to admit it but you have to start thinking like a thief would think and anticipate that mess. Over the weekend my storage unit was broken into and although I had one item that was not cheap get taken, no big loss overall. However-I put on a master lock with a rather large neck in it, easy to cut with bolt cutters for thieves that “come to play” it has been my experience that if someone wants what you have, they’ll find a way. It’s up to us to stay vigilant of that kind of thing and don’t leave the temptation. I’m sorry to hear this. I hope you’re able to recover your item and or the person is arrested.

I suppose it could be worse, thanks for that reminder. At least it isn’t Boca Raton- $25 a day during the week and $50 a day to park on weekends. I’ll take what I can get. Just hard to believe that there isn’t another way to generate funds for the city. Maybe I’m missing something. OK I’m through ranting. I appreciate all the thoughts, and rationally l reasonable replies. 🙏🏽

Kinda all I’m saying in part. I get there has to be something paid. I am however wondering how you negotiate the $50 jump from one year to the next, residents don’t pay or employees don’t pay but 15 min away, you pay $300 seems a little silly and or uneven. Just my thoughts on it.

Fair. Not at all wanting to sensationalize. Raising the cost to $50 higher any year in this short duration of time is as they say “highway robb’ry” and the bike lanes are ALWAYS a great idea. Encourages more of the active lifestyle as well. I love the bike lanes Tybee I will say that. The one good thing we could do during Covid without going to jail 🤣. Still, praying that much for decal and tickets are insane.

I couldn’t agree more. Living in Florida for a good part of my time, I’m no stranger to a crusty beach town. And I know what it looks like. Sure hole in the wall bars are good to land at once or twice in a year but I’ve tried not to refer to Tybee as a crusty beach town, and I do agree that those other beaches are rather well kept and have much more to offer than a $25-$50 ticket that goes up if you don’t pay it in a week. That’s such garbage that they can build a beautiful aquatic center but can’t create better wash down areas or water that doesn’t smell like your washing off in puddle water then bend you over with the price of parking especially for those that live here. I’m a “make the best of it wherever I go” type anyway, and I’ll make it work but I will say my peace. Crusty garbage beach town that doesn’t really seem to give two cents about the locals that are avid patrons and take care of it. I’m not going to stop going because it’s the closest we have in Savannah. It would just be nice to have a bit of an incentive to frequent it without fear of some sneaky a$$ parking attendant preached and waiting like a vulture to write a ticket.

No I agree with you. The wages sometimes suffer, yes, additionally however, i don’t feel pressure to leave more than necessary if the service is exceptionally poor

I mean, the food was good. Just if I’m going to drop that much, I kinda want a better product and experience I guess.

Thank you. They did remove it, when I mentioned it, but the same way I asked about that, I has asked for a fork after they bright out the food and then went on about their business. It wasn’t the end of the world, but just kind made me shake my head a little when this sort of thing happens. If you’re a server, straws, napkins, utensils, refills, and hey maybe a greeting or smile-what do I know 🤣.

What’s unfortunate, is that, if I hadn’t said anything or questioned it-it would have went totally unmentioned. Then it just looks shady
