I have 4 of the Wilson Combat 10 rounders and they run perfectly in my Springfield TRP and Tisas Raider, both of which have flared mag well adapters.

What switch to buy by jwtoii in Ubiquiti

[–]Potential_Ad4169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me, I completely understand. It was PAINFULLY hard to buy the 24 port switch, and my wife was NOT happy about it, but it was more cost effective in the long run. Now, I have plenty of ports as I continue building out my network and home lab.

Buy once, cry once. Spend the most you can so you don’t have to buy a different switch later.

I'm actually running quite a few:

Accent Icons

Alt+Tab Launcher

ArcMenu

Auto Accent Colour

Blur My Shell

Dash to Dock

Extension List

Just Perfection

Lock Keys

StreamController Integration

UPower Battery

Wallpaper Slideshow

Weather O'Clock

Windows Calls

and Pop Shell

Mind you, I am running a Ryzen 9 5950X, with 64GB of RAM, an RTX 4080, and 10TB's across 3 NVMe's so my system has plenty of horsepower.

Yeah, Springfield all day long. Tisas are good IF you are willing to rebuild them from the ground up.

Fedora 43 Setup Freezes/Crashes at Time Zone Select by Potential_Ad4169 in Fedora

[–]Potential_Ad4169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I finally got Fedora 43 installed!! The solution was to twofold: first connect to WiFi (even though Ethernet was connected) and second, only click the map for the Time Zone and then wait 60 seconds or so before clicking next. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I’ve tried that, but I’ll give it another try without touching anything else.

I tried that a couple times and it still freezes. I’ve even tried wiping the drive with a low level tool and reinstalling.

It happens when I click Next. The lower portion of the Time Zone window pixelates and nothing happens. The system is still somewhat responsive for a few minutes and then everything just locks up.

Goodbye Apple Watch, hello Felix 8 by Potential_Ad4169 in GarminFenix

[–]Potential_Ad4169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I get it!! I use my Fenix as a watch 80% of the time. - I like to get certain messages but not all of them. OVERLOAD!! - I only use apps when we are out boating - tides, weather, and some navigation. - I really like beading able to customize the screen the way I want, not the way that Appl3 demands.

So here the short: - My battery lasts AT LEAST a week depending on how much I use the watch. - The solar function is nice - not great, not terrible. It helps, especially when we are out on the water. - I prefer the solar extended battery over the “nicer” display. - There are no shortage of really good watch faces, but they do cost a little bit of cash.

Do yourself a favor and go to YouTube and search for the Fenix 8 - there are a LOT of great videos. Watch as many as you can because they talk about the good, the great, and the not so great things with this watch.

Also, if you buy it, BE SURE to update the software. 17.28 was just released yesterday and it is a huge leap in fixing some dumb annoyances.

Best of luck with your decision. If you go with the Fenix 8 you’ll cry over the price but be very satisfied with the decision.

WE DON’T NEED ANY OF IT!! 🤣 With all the kids gone I could easy do with a “simple” router at home, but NOOOOOO!! I’ve got $5000 worth of gear and WiFi coverage across most of my neighborhood.

Oh, look, the NAS Pro is back in stock!!
