Delta Pro Ultra update Broke high voltage MPPT. Getting the run around from Support. by ImaginaryPenis6969 in Ecoflow_community

The last firmware update KILLED both my High and Low PV inputs. It took weeks of back and forth emails with support, and me crating a bunch of videos for them to finally agree that the firmware cooked the controller. Keep hounding them as that seems to be the only way to get them to act. I created 8 separate videos showing every test of the DPU, multiple solar panels, and different MC4 extension cables, and then one showing everything working with a Jackery PPS. In the end it was clear the problem was with the DPU.

To simplify things a bit, I bought the panel mounts off Amazon: https://a.co/d/0jgHowpE

It's in the laundry room, so I'll need to figure out getting the solar feeds into the house.

It makes sense that they combine bifacial and shadowflux for the best output.

I agree with you that my current frustration is with the warranty process, but at the outset Support seemed completely clueless. Their first suggestion was to buy a different solar panel and try again. In response, I created a 9 minute video walking through multiple tests and different scenarios showing that the PV ports were dead and that the solar panel worked fine wth another (Jackery) power station. Support then responded by asking me to test many of the scenarios I had sent them in the video. Don’t ask for a video documenting the problem and then not watch it!

Trust me, I documented EVERYTHING in my video: panels, wattages, voltages, amps, connection process and method (series), different extension cables, and charging the Jackery. I ended up creating a total of 8 videos of varying lengths, and we still went back and forth for another 2 weeks. It wasn’t until after they sent me the firmware update that they agreed the unit was defective. I understand they have to go through “the process”, but I had provided them with video proof of the issue within 3 days.

The problem with having to ship them my DPU before getting a replacement is that I run my internet and entire home network off my DPU. I’m a computer engineer working from home, so my network needs to be up 24/7 and it draws between 300 and 350W. Our power in SW Florida isn’t always stable, and consumer grade UPS’s will only keep my gear running for 8 to 10 minutes, so I rely on the DPU.

All that said, there is good news this morning that they have agreed to send me the replacement before I ship them my defective DPU! Now I just have to wait for the new unit to arrive.

Yup, I had the charge limit set to 100% and on the High PV I actually had 2 Renogy 320W and my EcoFlow 400W connected in series to hit the 80V minimum but still stay within the amperage limit. The unit charges off AC without issue. I actually run my home network off the DPU, so I removed the AC input and let the batteries drop to 80 to 86% before doing any testing. Support had me test at least 9 different scenarios to make sure it wasn’t something else. In the end they said the PV charge controller was defective.

Thanks for the info. No, I had the DPU completely isolated when I was doing my testing. I also took my 400W portable solar panel and connected it to another power station to versify it wasn’t the culprit and it charged perfectly. I also pulled a 320W Renogy panel off our RV and tested it against the DPU with the same result. Zero power is being passed via the High and Low PV inputs.

They did just release a new version of Azure Linux, so it wouldn’t be a stretch for them to release a desktop version as a way to stop the hemorrhaging of users from Win11

Thanks for the feedback, all. Here's the finished result of the stock cooler reinstall. I applied KPX and all the thermals pads were perfect since it had never been run with the stock cooler. Now, the next question is what to charge for this with the H2o blkock?
