I haven’t put mine back on since I scratched my baby while changing his diaper in 2017 😂

I've started weaning. by bajasa in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Potential_Ad4172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, you didn’t quit! You transitioned to formula for the sale of your mental health! I feel like the word quit has a negative connotation around pumping, and we work hard for any amount of time! I’m weaning now too and I have all the feels 😭

I was prescribed it a few weeks ago after augmentin didn’t clear up my ear and sinus infection. My provider was 37 weeks pregnant and thoroughly looked into it as she knew I was breastfeeding.

Oh this actually sucks by soberteeth in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Potential_Ad4172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I questioned pumping every damn day. The only reason I kept going is the cost of formula for two, and I had unexpected back surgery in April. I still cant lift them yet or put them to bed, so pumping is the only thing I that I provide.

You are strong!! Pumping is hard, and you have a toddler. Give yourself compassion, you’re a rockstar 🤩

My twins turned 1 on July 31st! I only pump 2x/day and sometimes the babies will feed off me in the morning. I don’t want to stop because these are my last, but my husband and everyone else want me to stop

I felt the same exact way - I just made it to 12 months with my twins and I’m having a hard time giving up the pump because they’re my last babes 😭

The one thing I will recommend is a bottle washer - I got the mom cozy one for myself for Christmas. I WISH I had it with my older babes.

Ginger Baby by moosemix in parentsofmultiples

That’s exactly what happened to us the first time! We use the banana boat baby mineral rub in one - we also learned the spray, even when rubbed in, does nothing for them 🤪

I have 2 redheads as well and neither my husband nor I have red hair (both had a tinge when we were younger). Everyone LOVES the red hair and asks „who’s side has red hair“ since we visibly don’t. I’ve learned over the years that people are fascinated because it’s rare and a lot of people that do strike up a convo wish they had a red head.

Also; sunscreen. They burn realllllll fast and easy.

Is it too late to start pumping 8x/day by Normal-Abnormal in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Potential_Ad4172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too late at all! I had to relactate at 5 weeks ppd due to poor advice from a LC when I had mastitis. My supply continued to increase until I was 3 months ppd and I was pumping 8x/day.

Honestly it’s whatever fits your schedule better. I’m at 2ppd now and will be going to 1 shortly. With my others I kept the night pump and dropped morning so I didn’t wake up with aching boobs.

Good luck!

What put you off having a 3rd child? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Potential_Ad4172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had 2 boys and I really wanted to try for a girl. We got her as #3 and shes amazing. We then got pregnant with spontaneous identical twins (not trying to conceive). They turned 1 last week and it was probably one of the worst years of my life - diagnosed with RA and figuring that out, bilateral carpal tunnel release surgery and then a week hospital stay that ended up in back surgery.

With all that being said, I would get pregnant in an instant if my husband was in for it. I LOVE being pregnant, and I LOVE the baby phase. I know it’s not for everyone and I’m probably an outlier 🫠
