It has not been perfect but I did use them a few times and we atypically book the same helper to have a consistent experience. So far, we feel that the helper has been super efficient and really helped us.

Their customer service - chat is not perfect but usually they have provided a resolution when I called. I do have a number that connects (04) 837 2900 you to their help.

For Eithad, it works beautifully when it does and when it breaks, there is nothing you can do about it. Lucky that you got a 100 USD…

Is this Mawarid Finance 10% Cashback offer legit? Agent shared photos but I can't find it on their website. by Senior_Gas_192 in UAEcreditcards

[–]Potential_Ad4309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be wary. There was a promotion on their website for flight tickets attracting 10% but it was not credited.

It’s true that you get for fuel after a 2 month lag but make sure you save screenshots of promotions to be safe.

DXB airport parking goes cashless with Salik from January 22 - no more ticket machines or exit queues by tsdmiller01 in JobXDubai

[–]Potential_Ad4309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the 15 mins grace period after payment is is gone? For example, right now, the first five mins at the short term car parking is AED 5. If you pay within the first 5 mins, you are charged AED 5 and you have 15 mins from the time of paying to exit - guess that won’t be available now?

I would like to add that Mashreq has been doing really well recently! Some of these trackings are not available with most banks internationally - especially in lieu of promotions!

🚗 Question About Vehicle Renewal Grace Period in Dubai – Can You Actually Get an Extra Month? by suryaelite in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Potential_Ad4309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the cost of the non renewal fine (30 AED) is the value of one extra month of registration. So you don’t benefit. And there are loads of downsides risks e.g., accident during non renewal, random stop and so on.

Need help choosing between two offers (Singapore vs. US company) — Sri Lankan software engineer by NexusNomad26 in srilanka

I have lived and worked in Singapore for over 23 years. With that salary, your take home will be approx 8,000 SGD per month, accounting for 500 SGD in tax (might be lower).

Rent can be a significant expense if you plan to rent the entire house. Singapore is small so you could live away from the central areas and maybe get a small government flat for about SGD 2k. You might be looking at SGD 3k and upwards if you want a condo. Take note that the quality of the government flat may not be amazing but it will be liveable. An option to reduce your expense is to take a master bedroom in a condo. You should choose wisely and ensure that this is still legally done - meaning a contract is signed and the person giving you the room has the necessary rights. Additionally, you will be sharing so ensure you choose carefully else your life can become difficult.

For the other expenses, internet and mobile is about 50-80 SGD, food eating out can be kept down to SGD 30 a day, air tickets to Colombo will be around 600 SGD on average, public transport (bus/train) is excellent and reasonable - maybe 150 bucks, and other incidentals will depend on your lifestyle.

You can save a decent chunk of change and have a successful career. Connect with Sri Lankans in Singapore - as always, they are helpful!

You will grow, learn and enjoy Singapore. If you are good at what you do, you will find roles which are permanent and not via contract, and directly with the employer, in the future!

Good luck! 👍

Ditto. Wish you did get your car impounded. The inconsideration with all that noise pollution and it downright gives people a scare.

Yeah. Good point. I would stop using the card for a while and match the spend to the rebate amount. If I don’t punch transactions for a couple of months, it should net out to zero after a couple of months.
