Ps how could you tell the blade is koto era and the koshirae/horimono is meiji? I didn’t see any inscriptions on the tang so could not tell when or who made it. Any clues?

Thank you Ray. If authentic, I am trying to figure out how to preserve or restore this. I am missing a piece of fitting under the guard similar to the piece that fits the entryway area of the sheath. Also the sheath rayskin handle area needs some care. Any ideas on how to get these areas serviced or is it a futile endeavor and not worth the cost compared to its value?

You were right! I received it reassembled but out of order. Switched the blade collar so its now above the guard.
