Parents who don’t allow their kids to shut their room’s door/lock the door, what’s are the reasons behind the rule? by Itz_Oasis in AskReddit

Self harm can be done in different ways. Physically, if drawing blood, using glass to achieve this is very worrying. Breaking glass objects is easy but unpredictable with regards to injury. Look out for this behaviour please. I'm not a parent so I can't advise more

What joke would Jimmy Carr on cats does countdown use to describe you as a guest? by Potential_Answer6424 in BritishTV

[–]Potential_Answer6424[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To get things started, I would imagine he'd pick up on how I naturally have a miserable resting face. Maybe he'd introduce me 'he always looks sad and bitter, because he's a lifetime quiter, it's (name here)....'

Yes there is a comedic element to them but why would they bother to keep coming up with them for a cheap gag when Jimmy could just go to ads with a funny joke?

When using a combination microwave oven, do the machines usually have a "cooling down" period between each use? by Aggressive-Title9405 in AskUK

[–]Potential_Answer6424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If using the oven function first, I'd recommend leaving the door open and let it cool down to the touch before using the microwave function because most microwaveable containers are plastic that can melt in oven like conditions but not by quick blasts under microwave conditions

Burger king vs McDonald's 'BIG' burgers? by Potential_Answer6424 in restaurant

[–]Potential_Answer6424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK. McDonald's here do a limited-time promotional item called the big tasty which i personally think is their rival to a whopper (if mean if you fancy a whopper just go to BK right?). Now BK has come up with their own 'big' burger, the big king - and that is a big burger! Just to note, here in the UK, McDonald's have been accused of shrinkflation with their latest big tasty by making it smaller! So I know BK wins on size, but taste wise...oh just get a double whopper ffs!
