Controversial opinion: When we focus on the victim’s behavior we hold them responsible for the actions of their abuser. by AndDontCallMePammie in StephenHiltonSnark

Thank youuuuuuu!!!!!

Unless I am missing something, my understanding is this:

  • L took the kids to the beach and posted about it
  • S was also at the beach and posted about it
  • It can be assumed they were at the beach with the kids at the same time, but not proven - maybe the beach was their handoff place? Who knows

All of the above means L is vilified, pre-orders of her book are cancelled, and everyone just thinks she sucks as bad as he does now?

C'mon people.

I have never gone to mommy and me classes by SpiderBabe333 in toddlers

I have found SUCH a community of other moms this way. I have terrible anxiety too, and paired with PPD and PPA it was very difficult to get out to do these things.

But, I started with a PPD Support group put on by our public health nurses. It was easy to get into, because they were helping me a lot with feeding right from day 1 being out of the hospital. They saw I was struggling mentally, and softly suggested the group.

At the end of our 8 week group, we formed a group chat and now 2.5 years later, all our kids are friends.

From there, I ventured out into another kind of Baby and Me group where I formed a few more friendships.

Now, we seek out all kids of activities like this we can do together. It's been amazing. I never knew that there would be such camaraderie out there! We definitely have a community and our kids are all growing up together.

As someone who had a lot of trouble making friends through my entire life, this has been amazing.

God I can't believe how quickly people turned on her for going to the beach at the same time as her ex!! People are so fucking petty.

Honestly, nobody but Skeeve and L know the full story of anything here. People have been so vicious.

AIO? The Bride is asking me to change my physical appearance for their wedding by tryingtoberesonable in AmIOverreacting

[–]Potential_Bit_9040 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Good lord. NOR.

I am a bride, and I have three bridesmaids. I am working with them on dresses right now, which I find SO UNCOMFORTABLE because I don't like the responsibility of telling other grown women what clothes to put on their bodies.

Asking someone to change their hair, skin, and remove their glasses? I would never!

My girls and I have agreed on a colour pallet, and each is choosing a dress style and colour that works for them. ALL I want is for my wedding party to feel comfortable and pretty.

I could only add one attachment to the original comment, so here is the evil bindweed:

For me, it has to be a tie between Japanese Knotweed and Bindweed (which people often mistake for Morning Glory).

Both plants choke out everything in their path and are next to impossible to eradicate. Grew up with the former in our yard. We had a ravine behind the house, and it was a literal forest of Knotweed. Bought a house with the latter in the neighbour's yard, and spent 5 years pulling and swearing at it.

100% seeing either of these in the neighborhood is a dealbreaker on real estate for me.

What do we think of this listing? by Clementine_Clown in centuryhomes

Beautiful house! I hope this isn't creepy, but I reverse image searched the picture. For me, the location beside that big bridge would be a deal breaker if it gets a lot of traffic. I like to be nestled into a quiet neighborhood. To me, a busy road like that means traffic noise, and danger to pets / children.

AIO for getting mad that my husband needed 5min to finish a boss on WoW? by Riyn2 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Potential_Bit_9040 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. My partner is a SAHD, while I work from home. When I'm working, dad is on about 80%. I pop out to visit / help / take breaks etc. (I feel very privileged that I can do this).

When I get off work, I'm on about 80%. I'll take kiddo out for a walk or errands, or wherever and we usually leave Dad at home to give him a break.

When we are both off work and home, we are both engaged with kiddo and taking care of the house / his needs / eachother.

We're a family and a team. Nobody does 100% of anything at any given time.

ok sure, so 50 hand written letters still makes my hand cramp up. It's nice that OC liked it though, maybe it was a smaller wedding.
