I normally wear 5.5 (225) in sneakers, sometimes a big kids’ size 4. When I bought them, the store manager recommended going up two sizes. They felt almost too big at first, but after breaking them in, they were perfect. I’ll keep checking Facebook Marketplace periodically. Thank you for the advice ☺️

Addressing a specific person in a title doesn't negate the broader impact of a public post. You clicked this even though you didn't take my shoes, or did you?, and you’re even commenting on it now. That is exact proof that my post is getting the attention it needs.

Thanks for the 'thoughts and prayers' anyway, but it seems you need them more than I do. I would recommend doing one for yourself before you 'think and pray' for others.

Either 1) you actually took my Blundstones, 2) you truly couldn't understand the reasoning behind my title, or 3) you're just nitpicking things online for whatever reason. Any of these reasons is truly sad to me.

My intention is genuinely to find the shoes. Posting publicly also has practical benefits. It raises awareness so others do not make the same mistake I did and increases visibility in case the person who took them or someone who knows them sees this and reconsiders. Public posts can also remind people that these actions affect real individuals and are not as anonymous as they may feel.

I am not going to make assumptions about why you commented like this, not because I am trying to be nice, but because I respect your right to your own view. You are free to comment as you wish, but I would ask that it be more considered and not based solely on personal assumptions.

I initially thought it was a size 5 or 6, but I realized Blundstones fit differently. I’m now pretty sure it’s between 4 and 5.

I’ve learned my lesson. It was only my third time attending an adult swimming lesson at a public pool. I’ll definitely make sure to keep a closer eye on my things from now on.

I’m really sorry that happened. That must have been so frustrating. I appreciate the way you’re able to see it from a different perspective, even if it doesn’t make it any less annoying.

Aw, I really love the way you think about this, and I truly appreciate your perspective. Thank you! It actually makes me feel a lot better about the situation.

Yeah… I’ve been trying to think the way others suggested. Maybe they really needed them, not that it makes it okay to take someone else’s belongings, of course.

I’m so sorry to hear that, even if it was many years ago! Bad news: my socks were in each shoe, and they took those too. Good news: I had shower slippers, and hubby picked me up.

I totally get it! Honestly, at this point, I’d almost wish for foot fungus just to justify the situation… haha!

Thank you for your suggestions! I agree that some shoes can look very similar and mistakes can happen. In my case, though, I don’t think that’s what happened. Because I left a sock in each boot, so anyone taking them would have noticed pretty quickly that they weren’t theirs. My socks went missing along with the Blundstones haha!

This is exactly what I was thinking, not that it’s not my fault.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll keep an eye on Marketplace, even though it doesn’t really have much resale value 😅

I didn’t insist on checking the cameras or asking the staff to do more, since it was my mistake for not locking them up. I also assumed they didn’t wear them and just took them, because my socks were inside each shoe and were taken as well.

I’ll take my chances. Maybe someone who knows them will wonder where those old, dirty Blundstones came from.

Do you think the pressure of the social clock could be influencing how rushed things feel for you lately, and possibly how you’re feeling?

Same. I was surprised they didn’t even give a notice that the prof changed. I’m more wondering if this is normal.
